Eduardo Escobar doubles and homers in extra-innings loss

by Jon Mathisen | Sat, Apr 10th 1:54am EDT

Third baseman Eduardo Escobar went 2-for-5 with a double, two-run home run, and two runs scored in the Diamondbacks 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Reds on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

The D-Backs were getting blanked through seven innings until Escobar scored off a Carson Kelly sacrifice fly in the seventh inning. He then tied the ball game up at 5-5 with a two-run home run, his second in the last two games, off Lucas Sims in the bottom of the eighth inning. Escobar has looked great over the last two games after starting the year 1-for-21. He's still slashing a meager .143/.200/.393 but it's nice to see him show some pop.
