Mookie Betts goes yard in loss to the Angels

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Sat, May 8th 10:29am EDT

Outfielder Mookie Betts went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run in the Dodgers' 9-2 loss to the Angels on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Betts hit a ground-rule double in the contest as well as a solo home run off of Patrick Sandoval in the top of the ninth inning. The game was well in hand by then so the solo blast was inconsequential to the outcome of the game but it was important for Betts as he's had a slower start to the season. He's picked it up at the plate since the calendar turned to May, collecting seven hits in six games. He's posted a .257 batting average to go along with a .817 OPS, four home runs, seven RBI, and four stolen bases over 109 at-bats.
