Anibal Sanchez pitches a solid 6.1 innings and struck out 8. He didn't get a decision, but his performance was encouraging considered he had been roughed up in each of his last two starts. Today he only allowed one hit and gave up a run on a questionable balk called with a runner on third while pitching from a wind-up.

The Tigers dropped 3 games in a row to the Yankees. They stay home and await Cleveland who has dropped 8 of their last 11 games including a sweep at home against the Tigers. Anibal will search for his second win against the Twins early next week.
