Josh Staumont walked one while striking out three over a scoreless inning during Wednesday’s 4-2 loss to the Tigers.
Fantasy Impact:
Staumont entered the game in a non-save situation and struck out three of four batters he faced during Wednesday’s loss. The Royals have lost nine games in a row, save opportunities haven’t been there for Staumont. He owns a 2.70 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and a 10.26 K:9 across 16 and 2/3 innings in 2021. Despite the Royals losing streak, Staumont is worth stashing in all league formats as he remains the team’s primary closer.
