Pivetta has been suprisingly good this year for the Red Sox. He owns a 3.16 ERA, a 3.98 xERA, and a 3.67 FIP. Believe it or not, the strikeout numbers are down for Pivetta this year. Should he spike those numbers up a bit, he has elite potential. He is archetype of a high risk/high reward pitcher.
