Brandon Crawford goes yard in win over Arizona

by Jon Mathisen | Cardinals Correspondent | Tue, Jun 15th 2:08am EDT

Shortstop Brandon Crawford went 2-for-4 with a home run, a sacrifice fly, three RBI, and one strikeout as the Giants took down the Diamondbacks 5-2 on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

Crawford broke up a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth inning when swatted his 15th dinger of the year, a two-run shot, off of Matt Peacock. He also singled in the contest and knocked in another insurance run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning. The 34-year-old shortstop is now slashing a decent .257/.341/.545 with 15 home runs, 44 RBI, and four stolen bases over 187 at-bats. Fantasy managers can live with his mediocre batting average as long as he keeps bringing the power.
