Johan Oviedo gives up six runs (two earned) in loss to Tigers

by Lucas Spence | Pirates Correspondent | Tue, Jun 22nd 11:42pm EDT

Cardinals starter Johan Oviedo lasted only 3 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Tigers, surrendering six hits, six runs (two earned), and three walks with only one strikeout to fall to 0-3 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Oviedo pitched three scoreless innings before things unraveled in the fourth when Detroit scored six runs. Oviedo himself committed a throwing error which led to the big inning before giving up the knockout blow, a three-run home run to Jonathan Schoop. Oviedo now owns a less-than-stellar 4.62 ERA and 1.49 WHIP on the season. He's lined up next to face the Pirates at home on Sunday.
