Fantasy Impact:

Lamet (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 27 and continues to make progress in his recovery from right forearm tightness. He will throw live batting practice in the upcoming days. “He (Lamet) has a live BP session in the next day or two and then likely a rehab stint,” said manager Jayce Tingler. Barring a setback, the Padres are hoping to have Lamet back by the beginning of August. The 29-year-old will be used in “shorter stints” once he returns to the rotation. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Lamet as he could have an impact in the final two months of the season. The Padres right-hander owns a 3.67 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and a 38:11 K: BB across 34 1/3 innings in 2021.
