Gerrit Cole leaves game with apparent hand injury

by Ethan Biddle | Yankees Correspondent | Tue, Sep 7th 8:24pm EDT

Yankees starting pitcher Gerrit Cole left Tuesday's start with an apparent hand injury after just 3.2 innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and two walks. He also tacked on two strikeouts. (New York Yankees on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Cole certainly seemed off, as he was having an uncharacteristic start since the jump, albeit against one of the better offenses in the league in Toronto. Still, several of his pitches were missing the catcher's glove and he got away with several hanging breaking balls in the zone. Fantasy managers can only hope the injury isn't too serious, but more information will likely come on Wednesday once Cole is fully evaluated.
