Jon Lester pitches well again on Friday, holds Reds to two runs
by Lucas Spence | Fri, Sep 10th 11:31pm EDT
Jon Lester held the Reds to just three hits and two runs across seven strong innings in a no-decision on Friday. Lester did walk four while recording a pair of strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
Both runs allowed were solo home runs to Eugenio Suarez and Joey Votto. Lester has now surprisingly pitched well in four straight starts, allowing a combined five runs across those four outings. However, he's also struck out just four batters over his past 12 1/3 innings and remains a bit too volatile to trust in fantasy leagues (4.75 ERA), especially in the fantasy playoffs. He'll get the Mets next week.
