Max Scherzer to starts NLCS Game 1

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that the plan is to start Max Scherzer for Game 1 of the NLCS. Scherzer threw 13 pitches on Thursday in the Dodgers' win at San Francisco. (Fabian Ardaya on Twitter)

Dave Roberts on if Max Scherzer can start in Game 1 of the NLCS: "That’s the plan, but we knew going into this if we used him tonight there might be a cost…we’ll talk to Max tomorrow and see where he’s at.”

Fantasy Impact:

Scherzer has given up two runs over 12 1/3 innings this postseason. He'll face off against Max Fried in Atlanta on Saturday should he start Game 1.
