Kevin Gausman allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings on Wednesday against the Mariners. He struck out three and took the loss, falling to 3-3.
Fantasy Impact:
Gausman allowed two runs or fewer for the sixth time in eight starts, and still hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any start this season. He clearly wasn't at his best in this one, generating just seven whiffs with a paltry 21% CSW rate. But even still, he allowed just four hard-hit balls all night and was never in major trouble. Gausman is in the midst of a fantastic year, during which he has walked just three batters while striking out 57. Start him every time he takes the mound, including in his next start against the Cardinals.
