Robert Suarez picks up first save of season Friday

by Kendall Capps | Padres Correspondent | Sat, May 21st 3:09am EDT

Padres reliever Robert Suarez picked up his first save of the season in an 8-7 win vs. the Giants in 10 innings. He allowed an unearned run, giving up a hit and struck out one.

Fantasy Impact:

San Diego closer Taylor Rogers was unavailable tonight. That prompted the Padres to go with Luis Garcia to try and close it out in the 9th. He allowed two runs and blew the save, but San Diego scored two in the top of the 10th, setting up Suarez for the save.
