There was some chatter that Scherzer could return from his oblique injury to start on Sunday, but considering he was given a six-to-eight week timetable and it's been roughly five weeks, it seemed a bit foolhardy. Next steps for Scherzer are TBA, but he could make another rehab start. Either way, make sure Scherzer isn't in your lineup for this week and expect the Mets to update the next steps soon.
