Jose Cuas earns two-out save in Game 1 win Tuesday vs White Sox

Jose Cuas pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing no runs on no hits and no walks while striking out one to pick up the save in Kansas City’s 4-2 win against Chicago in Game 1 of Tuesday’s double header.

Fantasy Impact:

Jose Cuas was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on a Tuesday and the move paid off for Kansas City. The University of Maryland product entered Game 1 in the 9th inning with one-out and runners on first and second. He then proceeded to retire Josh Harrison via checked swing strikeout before inducing a groundout to first from Yasmani Grandal to end the game and picked up his first career save in the process. Cuas is 2-1 with a 3.09 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 20 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings across 28 appearances this year.
