Salvador Perez went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored in Kansas City’s 8-3 win against Chicago on Wednesday.

Perez collected three hits in a game for the first time this season and has now hit safely in eight of ten games so far in August. Perez is 12-for-42 (.286) with three homers, nine RBI, and five runs scored this month and has raised his average from .209 to .220. Perez is slashing .220/.257/.455 with 16 home runs, 50 RBI, and 32 runs scored in 277 at-bats this season. The backstop has five homers and 16 RBI in 13 games since returning from the IL in the final days of July.
