Conner Capel swipes a pair of bases Wednesday

by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Thu, Apr 6th 10:48am EDT

Oakland A's outfielder Conner Capel stole his first two bases of the season Wednesday versus the Cleveland Guardians.

Fantasy Impact:

Capel came in to pinch run for catcher Shea Langeliers in the bottom of the ninth inning with the game tied at four and proceeded to steal both second and third base in the frame. He would be stranded at third, however, while the Indians scored a pair of 10th-inning runs to win the game 6-4. Capel swiped 22 bases in 116 games between Triple-A and the big leagues in the Cardinals and A's organizations last season while adding 13 home runs in that time. However, he's made just nine trips to the plate in five games as he won't be fantasy relevant without a stiff increase in playing time moving forward.
