Sosa was promoted after the club placed shortstop Tim Anderson on the 10-day injured list due to a left knee sprain. The 23-year-old is off to a hot start with Charlotte this season, hitting .448 with two home runs and a 1.384 OPS across 36 trips to the plate. He made his MLB debut last season, hitting just .114 with one homer and a 33.3% K% across his 11-game cameo.
