Osvaldo Bido struggled mightily in Wednesday's 12-11 loss to the Rangers, allowing four earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out four over just 2.2 innings.
Fantasy Impact:
This outing ballooned his ERA to an unsightly 13.50 and WHIP to 1.88, which are hardly the numbers fantasy managers dream of. Despite a strong K/9 rate of 13.5, his inability to limit hits and runs severely undermines his fantasy value. The high BABIP of .429 suggests some bad luck, but it's clear that Bido needs to make significant adjustments to be considered a viable fantasy option. His high strikeout rate might keep him on the radar in very deep leagues or formats that heavily reward strikeouts, but most managers should view him with caution until he shows signs of improvement.
