Nick Pivetta had a rough outing in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Fantasy Impact:
He allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three over just 3 1/3 innings. This performance certainly didn't help Pivetta's season ERA, which took a hit, rising to 4.20. His WHIP, while still respectable, will feel the impact of today's seven hits and three walks. Given his solid K/9 rate and strikeout-to-walk ratio entering the game, fantasy managers might view this start as a blip rather than a trend. However, his increasing ERA and the short outing today raise concerns about his consistency and stamina as the season progresses. Managers should keep an eye on his next few starts for signs of recovery or further decline.
