Matt Holliday hopes to return during upcoming road trip

Holliday has begun to perform some base running drills with the Cardinals and hopes to be activated some time on the the current road trip, which extends through September 20th. (Jim Hayes on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
If Holliday makes it back on the field during this road trip it would give him about two weeks of games to play in before the season ends. Holiday has been out since July 29, with his second stint on the DL due to a quad strain. Expect Holliday to get some days off even if he returns soon as the Cardinals prepare for a post season run.
