Colby Rasmus kept off base in Saturday debut
by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Sat, Mar 5th 9:19pm EST
Starting his 2016 in left field Saturday against the New York Mets, Colby Rasmus could not get a hit. He went 0-for-2 with a ground out and fly out. He begins Spring Training without an average.
Fantasy Impact:
The rest versus rust argument could be used to defend today's plate performance by Rasmus. However, he will need to improve quickly to show that he was worth the $15.8 million qualifying offer that the team extended to him this past winter. Draft Rasmus with caution.
