Ryan Madson received a vote of confidence from his manager following another tough outing and loss on Tuesday. The team will continue to use him as their closer for the time being. (San Francisco Chronicle)

Madson's struggles continued Tuesday, as he allowed two earned runs in 2/3 of an inning. He's now allowed seven earned runs in his last seven innings pitched. He may be the team's closer for now, but they may just be keeping him there in hopes that he can regain value prior to the trade deadline.
