Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Tate missed four games last year after his suspension but he had a very solid year when he was on the field. He finished the season ranked 31st among wide receiver in fantasy points per game (half-PPR formats) and continued to excel in producing yards after the catch. Tate will be 32 years old when the season starts and will continue to compete for targets with Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, Evan Engram, and Saquon Barkley. But in full PPR formats at least, he should be a viable flex option most weeks. In standard or half-PPR leagues, however, draft him only as a bench player.Jeffery wound up avoiding the PUP list, though he's unlikely to be able to suit up for at least the first game or two of the season. When healthy, Jeffery is an excellent fantasy option, capable of putting up WR2 numbers or better regularly. But coming off a Lisfranc injury, and with a checkered health history, it's hard to see him contributing all that much right out of the gate. With roster and IR spots at a premium this year, there's little reason to waste a draft pick on Jeffery until your starting roster is set.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Tate entered 2018 coming off four straight seasons with 90 or more catches despite having scored only 19 TDs during that span. He has reached the end zone 10 times for three NFC teams over 26 games the past couple of seasons, but it's hard to envision him carving out significant fantasy value in 2020 with Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard in the mix.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Golden Tate had his season majorly affected by injury since 2010 but still proved very effective while on the gridiron. He regularly managed double-digit half-PPR points and when you're drafting a guy in the 12th round, that's outstanding output. He's a real sleeper going into this season and could prove very valuable if the Giants offense has enough passing volume. The Eagles receiving corps is a massive mess but Alshon Jeffery remains the nominal WR1. While that's good in theory, he's very difficult to draft as a 30-year-old who is massively injury prone and coming off a Lisfranc injury which could see him start the season in IR. The upside does exist though as Jeffery has averaged double-digit half-PPR points each of the last seven seasons and is the major big-bodied receiver on the outside in Philly. He's a nice late gamble but you should be dropping him in advance of Week 1 if he's no good and you don't have an IR slot.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I remember when Tate was just a young guy in the league trying to find a role in the Seahawks offense. Here we are, now entering his 11th season at 32 years old. As you can see from the Shepard paragraph, Tate was semi-consistent with his targets, but you also have to factor in where he played on the field. Both Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram missed time throughout the year, which should've led to more targets for Tate. He had them most of the time, but even more importantly, he produced when he played. He produced WR3 or better numbers in 81.8 percent of his games last year. You know who did that more often than him? Michael Thomas. That's it. It is a new offense and Barkley/Engram are healthy, so don't expect that anymore, but understand that there's likely a place for him in fantasy football, especially when you consider the state of the Giants defense that'll be among the league's worst. He's not sexy and won't finish as a top-24 receiver, but he can be a WR4 type that you plug in when you know the Giants will be throwing a ton. What can we say at this point? It's more of a surprise to see him on the field than off the field. He's now missed 20 games over the last five seasons and appears set to start the year on the PUP list after undergoing Lisfranc surgery in mid-December. You'd think he'd be good to go by now, but with Jeffery, nothing is a given. You can't stash a player on your bench for six weeks in a year like this, though Jeffery does have appeal in best ball and leagues that'll allow you to place him on an IR slot. In his three years with the Eagles, Jeffery has managed to rack up 285 targets over 38 games, which amounts to 7.5 targets per game. That's led to WR2 or better numbers in 42.1 percent of games, which would've ranked as the No. 24 wide receiver in 2019. The Eagles don't have much wide receiver depth/talent, so once he comes back, he should walk back in to at least six targets per game and offer WR3 startability most weeks.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Drafting Golden Tate is never very exciting or sexy but when you're in a pinch over your flex spot, he's one of the better options you can have. He should be 2nd-year QB, Daniel Jones' safety blanket which is why he is, as usual, considerably more valuable in PPR formats over standard.Jeffrey played in only 10 games last year totaling 43 receptions, 490 yards, and four TDs. Now the Eagles have added first-rounder Jalen Reagor as well as John Hightower in this year's draft. Jeffrey's injury history and youth behind him have me nervous. He'll likely be a TD dependent WR who can only be played in favorable matchups.

Tate still has plenty left in the tank, but this offense may be too crowded for him to be a consistently weekly fantasy option. With Sterling Shepard, Tate, Darius Slayton, Evan Engram, and Saquon Barkley all vying for targets, it's unlikely that one player significantly outproduces the rest. This season, Tate's nothing more than a WR4 unless things open up in this passing game.Jeffery seems destined to start the 2020 season on the PUP list, unfortunately. With that being the case, Jeffery is nothing worth more than a stash if your league has an IR spot. If it doesn't, Jeffery should go straight to your waiver wire and you can attempt to pick him up later on. He does have upside when he's on the field, but at this point in his career, he may be more of a headache to own in fantasy than he's worth.

Tough surgery recovery awaits. Eagles added immense speed on the outside, which could actually make Alshon's life a whole lot easier working the short and intermediate sideline.

Was heavily targeted with Jones under center. Will be a boring flex if no one is brought in.Do you really want to draft a WR that hasn't been over 850 yards since 2014, has only played 16 games twice in his career, is recovering from a Lisfranc injury, and relies on unreliable TDs for fantasy production at age 30?
