Alvin Kamara apparently tore up his knee week 5 of 2019 which likely had a lot to do with "down" year. In this "down" year, he still ended as RB12. Now that he is healthy, he has as high of a ceiling as anyone. With Damien Williams opting out, CEH finds himself as THE guy in an Andy Reid system with Pat Mahomes at QB. *Insert drooling dog pic here* CEH is well worth the gamble in the back end of the first round. Huge upside.

Hail to Fantasy Football
Moved all the way into the first round for me, and you could make a case for drafting him after the top-3 RBs.
Justin Dodds
Locked In Football
Despite going from 18 TDs to 6 TDs, Kamara still finished as the RB9 in FP/g in half PPR and the RB8 in FP/g in PPR while playing through injuries. If you give him the same amount of TDs he got in his rookie year (13), he would've gotten 42 (7x6) more fantasy points which would've put his half PPR total at 250 fpts, good for RB7 in half PPR and RB5 in PPR. Kamara with those totals would've averaged 17.9 fpts (250/14) and 21.4 fpts (300/14). Those totals would've been good for RB5 (0.5PPR) and RB2 (PPR). I expect Kamara to have closer to 13 TDs rather than 6 TDs, so use your first round pick on him confidently.CEH is the bellcow RB for an offense that has very strong potential to lead the league in scoring. In the 29 games Mahomes has started, the RBs in those games have scored 39 touchdowns which is about 1.35 TDs per game. If CEH gets just HALF of that TD volume, that's still ~11 TDs in 16 games, which would've put him 7th in TDs last year. Remember, when Kareem Hunt was the bellcow in 2018, he was the RB6 in half-ppr FP/g and the RB8 in ppr FP/g. The upside is too large to put him below guys like Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Jacobs, and Chubb.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There's just one running back who's had a higher "boom" percentage (25-plus PPR points) than Kamara over the course of their careers, and that's Christian McCaffrey. Kamara has now topped 25 PPR points in 14 of his 45 career games, which is quite ridiculous. His 2019 season was easily his worst to date, though he still finished as the RB12 despite missing two games. The Saints offense continues to groove, and though Drew Brees is still playing great football, his arm strength is declining, which could lead to more targets than every for Kamara, who's averaged 6.7 targets per game over the first three years in a Saints uniform. Provided he doesn't get hurt, Kamara is a near-lock to finish as a top-six running back.I had Edwards-Helaire as my top running back in this year's class due to the way he fits the NFL today. He's a true three-down back who can catch 80-plus passes out of the backfield, while running for 1,000-plus yards. Landing with the Chiefs was a dream scenario, especially in the first round. Over the last seven years, running backs who've been drafted in the first round have averaged 280.7 touches in year one. 75 percent of them have finished as an RB2 or better. Don't think this is Darwin Thompson all over again, as he was a sixth-round pick last year, and those average just 29.8 touches in year one. This is Edwards-Helaire's backfield after Andy Reid said he's better than Brian Westbrook on film. You don't take those players off the field very often. He's worth a second-round pick and would be a steal in the third round.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Top 4 RB in each of 1st 2 NFL seasons before health and loss of QB Brees for 5 games helped sink him to RB No. 9 in '19 - give him a mulliganWith D. Williams opting out, CEH's workload concerns fade considerably, but he's more likely to be great because of Ekeler-like efficiency than substantial volume
Elliot Berkovits
Pack to the Future
Kamara seems like one of the safest players in fantasy as long as he's on the field. Three consecutive years recording 81 receptions is incredible and Drew Brees is going to continue to target him constantly. My only fears are injury-related. If Kamara plays 16 games in 2020 he will easily finish as a top-5 back.I was excited about Edwards-Helaire before Williams opted out, now, I'm all in. He's about to enter the best offense in football which will give him scoring opportunities on a weekly basis. Dating back to 1999, there have been 5 RB's coached by Andy Reid who finished inside the top-10 in their first year with him. Could Edwards-Helaire make it six? I think so.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
He's really been the same, consistent player since entering the league. 725-900 yards on the ground. 81 receptions EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR. The ups and downs have been based on health, TDs, and how productive he can be through the passing game.107 RB targets spread out to the Chiefs RB position last year. Due to injury, and coaching decisions, no RB played more than 35% of the snaps. If CEH can consolidate the targets and take charge on the backfield(like they seemingly drafted him to do), he might just be awesome. If you thought he might've been a product of the LSU offense, feel free to rely on that excuse in KC as well, should work just fine. Updated thoughts: DAMIEN WILLIAMS, the man who struggled to take over LeSean McCoy, still averaged a 63.5% snap share in 13 games(missed majority of week 11 with injury), still averaged 15.13 fantasy points in those 13 games, a pace of RB7. But now some are worried that the man drafted in the first round doesn't have the ability, or is too risky to be taken as an RB1? Dam paced for it and he couldn't even beat out McCoy while doing so, and now neither are on the team.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Alvin Kamara saw his total touchdowns drop from 18 in 2018 to 5 in 2019. This was, in large part, due to nagging injuries that he dealt with all season long. Assuming that Kamara's fully healthy again, he's an amazing bounce-back candidate and could even go off the board in the first three picks of your draft. With the news that Damien Williams has opted out for the 2020 NFL season, CEH immediately shoots up into the top-10 at the RB position. While he's not going to be a "workhorse" back and see 250 carries, he's going to be heavily involved in the receiving game. I'm projecting him to have a similar workload to what Alvin Kamara has seen over the past few seasons and we know how that can translate to top-tier fantasy production in a dynamic offense. CEH can be drafted confidently in the same tier as Joe Mixon, Derrick Henry, Kenyan Drake, and Josh Jacobs.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Kamara was pretty disappointing in 2019, considering he was a Top-3 fantasy pick. He finished the year with 1,330 yards from scrimmage, but just 6 touchdowns. I think he is likely to rebound in 2020 and he should have RB1 value. Now that Damien Williams has opted to sit out the 2020 season, Edwards-Helaire should be the unquestioned lead running back on one of the best offenses in the NFL. He is a RB1 with upside.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Edwards-Helaire was probably set to be overvalued in fantasy drafts, but now that Damien Williams has opted out, he immediately vaults into reliable RB1 territory. The Chiefs spent their first-round pick on Edwards-Helaire and, regardless, pretty much any replacement value running back can find fantasy gold in Kansas City's system. There are still plenty of other running backs on the roster who will garner touches, including DeAndre Washington, Darwin Thompson, and Darrel Williams, and because the Chiefs' offense is so dynamic, there is no reason for them to run their rookie back into the ground. Still, without Williams, Edwards-Helaire should get the majority of the touches in the backfield, and that puts him in RB1 territory, full stop.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Alvin Kamara had an absolute shocker in 2019. Despite no change in his rushing and receiving opportunities, Kamara dropped five points a game. There are myriad reasons for this massive change but most of them suggest a rebound is on the cards. Kamara battled knee and ankle injuries throughout last season and these really lowered his usually incredible efficiency and effectiveness. His TD numbers dropped by nearly a TD a game as well, which played a significant part in his drop in points. These should mostly regress, but it is worth noting his red zone looks halved last year and that will have an impact if things. Ultimately he's a great rebound candidate but he does come with some very real risk that places him clearly behind the elite three of CMC, Saquon and Zeke, battling with Cook in their own tier.I absolutely love Clyde Edwards-Helaire as a talent. He was sensational for LSU last year and just quietly, amazing for my college fantasy team. I was very low on him at his price until the Damien Williams hold out. He now jumps into the first round discussions for me as I don't believe Darwin Thompson and DeAndre Washington have enough to keep him off the field for more than a rest. It is very possible the Chiefs bring in a veteran and that stops me from ranking him among the elite, but he is certainly in that second tier of guys and has massive upside.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Alvin Kamara scored 106 less PPR points in 2019 than 2018. 84 of them were due to him only finding the endzone 6 times instead of 18 in 2018. -1,592 yards in from scrimmage in 2018 and 1,330 in 2019 -Caught the same amount of passes at 81 -Only had 2 TDs heading into Week 16The Kansas City Chiefs have averaged the following over the last 3 seasons: 282 rush attempts, 99 RB receptions, 4.43 rush yards per attempt, 7.4 RB yards per reception, 11.6 rushing touchdowns, 8.3 RB receiving tds Let's say, CEH only gets 60% of workload, going only on averages, he would finish with: 169 rush attempts, 60 receptions, 7 rush td, 5 rec td, 750 rush yards, 440 receiving yards He would finish with 251 PPR points. This would have had him ranked 9th last season ahead of Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley, Joe Mixon, Mark Ingram, and others. @BlakeAHampton
