When Miller entered December of his rookie season with 29 receptions for 398 yards and five touchdowns over his first 10 NFL games, it seemed as if he was on track to become a key part of Chicago's passing game. He then ended up catching eight passes for 53 yards over his next nine games through the end of last September. His increased usage later in the year was encouraging.Hardman came up four receptions shy of the minimum to qualify as the NFL's official leader in yards per reception as a rookie last season. With the Chiefs' restructuring of Sammy Watkins' contract and re-signing of Demarcus Robinson to a one-year, 2.3 million contract, Hardman's usage is unlikely to increase significantly in 2020.
Elisha Twerski
numberFire
When Taylor Gabriel went down last year, Miller posted a 16-game pace of 80 receptions for 1,001 yards and 5 tuddies. That line would've made him the WR25 last season.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Anthony Miller's enigmatic start to his NFL career continued in 2019 with two massive 100+ yard explosions and a heap of underwhelming single-digit efforts. There's no doubt his continued shoulder issues remain an issue but after another off-season surgery, it's very possible Miller has another slow start. In an offense that surely must be better under Nick Foles, there's a lot of hope Miller will break out in his third season, just know you may have to wait it out a little.Every year, fantasy experts latch onto young kids with great opportunities. Mecole Hardman was that guy last year and this year, he appears to be that guy again. The Chiefs offense will be explosive in 2020, but will Hardman have a role? The running backs should have a greater receiving role with CEH and Damien Williams back while Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill are the clear studs. Sammy Watkins is still the clear second receiver in KC, regardless of what some will have you believe, and that means you shouldn't break the bank for Hardman. His 11th round price is too rich for me, but he is a fine gamble if you're all set by then.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Despite playing with Mitch Trubisky, Miller has now seen 139 targets in his first two seasons, compiling 85 receptions for 1,079 yards and nine touchdowns. By comparison, Robert Woods saw 139 targets last year, finishing with 90 receptions for 1,134 yards and two touchdowns. But for whatever reason, Matt Nagy has chosen not to let Miller flourish in the Bears offense. There were just seven games he saw more than three targets. In those seven games, he totaled 42 receptions for 547 yards, and two touchdowns. With Taylor Gabriel gone, it's very possible that Miller becomes more of a staple in the offense. He's best viewed as a WR4/5-type option with WR3 upside.I understand the want to draft Hardman, I really do. But has the hype train gotten out of control? He's played four years of college and pro football, and here are his touch totals (most recent first): 30, 40, 33, and 0. He's been highly efficient on almost all of those touches, but at some point, you have to ask yourself why he's not getting more. Seriously, his efficiency last year was out of this world. Here are some stats for you from my 175 interesting facts from the 2019 football season article: - Among wide receivers who've seen at least 30 targets, Mecole Hardman's 13.1 yards per target ranks as the third-highest mark among wide receivers over the last 10 years. - Mecole Hardman averaged 2.77 PPR points per target in 2019, which ranked as the fourth-best mark among wide receivers over the last 10 years. Pretty nuts, right? I'm not arguing his efficiency at all. His performance last year was very Tyreek Hill-esque, and I could see him breaking out similarly to Hill, "if" Hill wasn't on the field with him. It certainly helps that the Chiefs are taking him off special teams to focus on offense, as that's the same thing they did with Hill a few years ago. Drafting him as a WR4/5 could be worth the reward but understand that he might be the No. 5 option in the passing game behind Hill, Travis Kelce, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Sammy Watkins. For a team that hasn't thrown the ball more than 583 times in Andy Reid's entire time in Kansas City, that directly impacts Hardman, even if he is uber efficient. If he starts playing more snaps than Watkins, that's when you'll see me completely buy in.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
After a strong rookie season in which Miller scored seven TDs, he regressed in year two scoring only two times and never seeming to get on the same page as QB Mitchell Trubisky. He still seems to be the WR2 in Chicago which is a plus but it's not like the Bears passing offense is one you're dying to be a part of. I see Miller as a WR4 with a sliver of upside depending on who starts at QB for the Bears.Just like all Chiefs WRs not named Tyreek Hill, Hardman is going to be a boom or bust player here in 2020. He has blazing speed which helps but there just aren't enough targets to go around to make him a reliable weekly starter. That being said, if oft-injured Sammy Watkins goes down, Hardman would be a very enticing player to keep an eye on.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
If you take Miller's final six games of the fantasy season, he had 34 catches for 433 yards, which prorates out to a 90-catch, 1154-yard line over a full season. Although he only caught two touchdown passes last year, he caught seven the prior season, so he's due for some positive regression. He's coming off shoulder surgery again, but so long as he's healthy, and especially if Nick Foles (who loves to target slot receivers) wins the starting quarterback job, Miller should be in for a fine year.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Miller was fantastic his rookie season in Chicago, but took a big step backwards last year with the offensive struggles. Additionally, Miller has struggled with a shoulder issue for quite some time now that kept recurring last season. This season though, Miller should get back on track and should easily be second on this team in targets. The offense can only go up from where it was last year and Miller should see plenty of scoring opportunities as well. He's a great pick in the mid-rounds of your draft.Hardman's electric with the ball in his hands, but he simply doesn't see enough volume to be relevant for fantasy football. He's going to be battling it out with Watkins for targets this season, but he still may only be fourth on this team. Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and potentially even Clyde Edwards-Helaire should all see a significant amount of targets in this offense. Hardman can certainly take any play to the house, which makes him an intriguing FLEX play in certain matchups, but otherwise he's probably not going to be consistent enough to have weekly value.

Going into his age 26 season, just a year younger than teammate Allen Robinson. We have the assumption that Nagy would like to use his TE more. Burton had 94 targets in 2018 but hasn't been able to stay on the field. Jimmy Graham comes in, along with rookie Cole Kmet. Miller should still have a clear path to targets if he can take it. Has struggled with shoulder injuries, having surgeries each year, his route running is good.Played a lot when Tyreek was out. And surprisingly very little with him back. HOWEVER. Demarcus Robinson is a FA and Sammy is thinking about chillin' out, and at the very least will be taking a pay cut. And Mecole's speed is absolutely a game changer if he gets onto the field more.

The separation he generated before the catch was crazy. And with the ball he easily ran away from 4.4 defenders. Made plays in the return game too. @KevinColePFF Hardman has only played the WR position for three years so far, two at UGA and one in KC, his progression has been dramatic.
