FantasyPros
Don't forget about the guy that the Ravens were extremely high on coming into last year before he suffered a season-ending injury. While I expected him to compete for the starting job, Dixon was dealing with an injury during training camp and is reportedly on the roster bubble. He's just a backup at this point in time. He's going to be 35 years old this season, so there's plenty of reason to worry about his production, but whenever he's been on the field, he's done a fine job. In the first year of Doug Pederson's offense, he totaled 146 touches for 865 yards and four touchdowns. Many are chasing Jay Ajayi, but he was playing less than 30 snaps per game down the stretch in 2017. Prior to getting hurt, Sproles played 34 and 50 snaps in the first two weeks of 2018. By bringing him back, he'll be part of the gameplan, but he may take on a lesser role with Corey Clement emerging. Sproles remains the only running back to have played more than 43 snaps under Pederson, and he did it four times in 17 games. Rumors from training camp suggest that he looks like the same player he's always been, which would mean he'll make the 53-man roster.

Dixon has been hyped as a potential star running back for the Ravens for a long time now, but I think that's about dead with the rise of Alex Collins. Will Dixon get work? Yes, but I don't think he's going to be much more than a change-of-pace back with Javorius Allen as the passing-down back. I'm a believer in the idea that Collins earned this gig last year and that John Harbaugh isn't giving it away easily.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
I like Dixon enough to take a risk on him due to the fact that he could see plenty of work if he's fully healthy and ready for the season. Camp reports will go a long way to seeing if he is poised to cut into Alex Collins' workload, but I still expect Dixon to see work in the passing game either way.Sproles is consistent when getting work but should be the third running back option this season, as a 35-year-old and coming off a knee injury, I don't think we can count on him seeing a big workload on offense.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
After a torn MCL delayed Dixon's NFL debut in 2016, a torn meniscus ended his sophomore season before it began. He also received a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's PED policy before the injury, so there are red flags galore heading into his latest comeback. Yet he once seemed poised to assume an expanded role in Baltimore's backfield, so he's a tempting late-draft flier.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Had Dixon not suffered a season-ending injury last season, we may just be talking about him as a top 15 running back headed into this fantasy season. The fact is that Baltimore raved about him so don't be shocked if he gets a crack at considerable touches even with Alex Collins ahead of him for now.Sproles may be old, but he has been an RB3 or better in 5 of the past 6 years he was healthy including two years ago. The Eagles are saying he will start, and while his workload will clearly be limited, it should be enough to warrant flex starts once the bye weeks and injuries roll in.
