Lineups
The Jaguars enjoyed a breakout performance from D.J. Chark last season as he finished as the WR16 in 1/2 PPR scoring. He finished with 73 catches for 1,008 yards and 8 touchdowns, but there's still room for improvement. The Jaguars should be among the most pass-heavy teams in the NFL this season as their defense is suffering at the moment. Gardner Minshew is entering his second season and should get more comfortable in a pro offense. Chark will benefit and produce another strong fantasy campaign.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Chark emerged as Jacksonville's top receiver in 2019, catching four passes for 146 yards and a touchdown in the season opener and then being targeted five or more times in all 14 of his other games. There is a bit of uncertainty about his 2020 role with offensive coordinator John DeFilippo having been replaced by Jay Gruden, whose offenses have tended to feature more quick passes. After posting four 100-yard games and scoring a total of nine touchdowns in 53 games over his first four NFL seasons, Parker matched each of those totals over 16 games in 2019. He broke out over the second half of last season, catching 44 passes for 802 yards and five scores over Miami's final eight games. His inconsistent past makes him a bit of a risk heading into 2020.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There were flashes of what could be an alpha wide receiver in Chark last year, but there were also times where he disappeared. For example, he had six games of 15-plus fantasy points, but he also had eight games with less than nine fantasy points. Is it reasonable for him to grow as a player? Yes. Is there now a bit more competition for targets on the roster? Yes. With the shortened offseason, it will be difficult to learn a new playbook, especially for rookies like second-round pick Laviska Shenault. Because of that, Gardner Minshew will likely be looking Chark's way a lot. With a schedule that starts with the Colts, Titans, Dolphins, Bengals, Texans, and Lions, Chark should have a monster first half of the fantasy season. There are much tougher matchups as the season goes on, however, but drafting Chark as a low-end WR2 with upside in the fifth round makes sense. But again, you may want to look at the possibility of trading him during his bye in Week 7.It's about time, right? I remember last year on the podcast talking about Parker, saying there's a clear avenue for him to see 100-plus targets and that if Fitzpatrick was starting, I wanted him on my roster. Here we are 128 targets and a No. 7 wide receiver finish later. Fun fact: Parker and Michael Thomas were the only two receivers who posted at least 55 yards in 13 games last year. You were able to get Parker outside the top 60 wide receivers last year, something that isn't happening this time around. His current draft position is right around WR20-22, so you're receiving a discount from last year's production, and rightfully so. Preston Williams is back from his ACL injury, which isn't great news for Parker, who was the No. 34 wide receiver through nine weeks with Williams in the lineup. That was really solid for him considering where he was drafted, but once Williams left, Parker exploded and finished as the No. 2 wide receiver the remainder of the season. Part of the reason that happened was due to Ryan Fitzpatrick's willingness to target him relentlessly, as he averaged 9.5 targets per game over that span. To be fair, Williams is coming back, but both Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson have opted out of the season, clearing up 110 targets from last year. Knowing Fitzpatrick is starting the season under center helps me feel more confident in Parker, but there's certainly hesitation in drafting him this year as the Dolphins defense is going to be much better, which will result in fewer pass attempts, and that they'll be moving to a rookie quarterback at some point. I think he's best viewed as a stable WR3 who comes with top-12 upside. If I knew Fitzpatrick would start all year, he'd be a WR2.
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
Top 5 in WR touchdowns and receptions last season, Parker made a hug statement and should be a top target in FF drafts
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Chark looks to take the third year leap, but his near 1 TD per game output will come back to earth. His fate is tied to Minshew's.Chosen as "MyGuy" this year, coming off a WR7 finish with elite consistency, Parker is one of the best picks in fantasy football
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
D.J. Chark was one of the biggest surprises of the 2019 season. He built a strong connection with Gardner Minshew and it showed on the field with Chark totaling 73 receptions, 1,008 yards, and eight TDs. Minshew's progression will be key for Chark making him a bit of a boom or bust type player. It finally happened. The DeVante Parker breakout season finally happened in 2019 and now Parker is in an even better situation with Tua Tagovailoa expected to start at some point, if not Week 1. Anytime you draft a Dolphin you're taking a risk but Parker is one guy who's definitely worth the risk.

After SPARQ monster's 2019 breakout, now owns the go-to role in the JAC passing game, which offers more promise under new OC Jay GrudenCompared to 2019 finish (No. 7 WR in FAN PTS), going at a major discount in early ADP - sorry, I'm not nearly as threatened by Preston Williams as the consensus

2019 16-game Pace with Preston Williams on the field: 800 yards and 8 TDs. 2020 16-game pace with Preston Williams OUT: 1600 yards and 10 TDs. Parker's target separation ranked 90th last season. His success simply came from a barrage of targets from Fitz, who simply targets one or two WRs. Williams is back, Tua may take over at some point, I'll pass on Parker at ADP.

Chark's ability in the deep passing game allowed him to tally 1028 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns in 2019. He is a WR2 with some volatility playing on one of the worst rosters in the NFL.Parker finally had the breakout season we thought he would have when he was drafted, tallying 1202 yards from scrimmage and 9 touchdowns. He is a bit risky having done that on a really bad team in his Age 26 season, but I think he can maintain WR2 value if he can stay healthy in 2020.

Chark and Gardner Minshew have shown that they have great chemistry together. Chark has a little bit more competition for targets this season than last year, but he's still going to be a productive fantasy football option. He's in the range of a WR2 this season for me with upside.Parker's an extremely talented wide receiver that has developed chemistry with Ryan Fitzpatrick. As long as Parker's 2019 season wasn't a fluke, which I don't believe it was, he'll be in the borderline WR1 conversation all season long.

Had his most heavily targeted game with Foles, but Minshew was very capable of supporting him. A little under 7 targets a game with Minshew in year 1. That paces for 110 targets. TDs(8) are likely to regress if those targets remain. He remains the clear top target after FA and the draft. His drop grade per PFF is just below Michael Thomas, at number 7. He is what Will Fuller would be if Fuller could stay healthy and had hands, with all the target volume you could want. Are we just going to ignore the fast that Parker was immediately out targeted 60-52 to a UDFA. Or is an offense with no other weapons, and scoring 9 TDs the more likely answer for his success? His breakout was because of huge increase in success rate versus man and press, but he was still a bottom half percentile player at both, he just had Fitzpatrick not caring about throwing into tight windows. Not a problem if Fitz plays out the whole season. A long term concern for me though.

D.J. Chark enjoyed an impressive sophomore breakout, despite being slowed by an ankle injury later in the season. There are many reasons for concern though, from the drafting of Laviska Shenault to the signing of Chris Thompson and the general terribleness of this team. The upside is that it appears they'll be chasing plenty of games and don't look inclined to go as run-heavy this year. If Chark can stay healthy and maintain his target share he's going to be big in fantasy, that's a huge 'if' though. After four years of mediocrity, the Devante Parker breakout finally happened in 2019 on the back of some Fitzmagic from his QB. With the Dolphins significantly improved, a relevant run game, the likely emergence of Tua and the return of Preston Williams, it's highly unlikely Parker reaches his WR7 finish from last year. Luckily, you can draft him late in the fourth round and enjoy a solid floor with some massive upside if the Dolphins continue tossing it up as they chase games.

Weeks 1-14 last season, he was the WR8 overall. He suffered an ankle in Week 14, missed a game, and was hampered the rest of the season. He still finished as the WR17 for the season. @SWallace_FF
