Lineups
Washington's idea of a passing offense was hard to watch last season and the scheme has to get better this year mostly because it can't get any worse. Scott Turner should help Haskins unlock some more of his play and McLaurin will benefit as his primary receiving weapon. In his rookie year, McLaurin had 58 catches for 919 yards and 7 touchdowns. He was a consistent downfield threat and finished with an impressive 15.8 yards per reception. Both second-year players, Haskins and McLaurin should continue to improve as they grow more accustomed to pro play and their strong chemistry will help them both succeed. The Jaguars enjoyed a breakout performance from D.J. Chark last season as he finished as the WR16 in 1/2 PPR scoring. He finished with 73 catches for 1,008 yards and 8 touchdowns, but there's still room for improvement. The Jaguars should be among the most pass-heavy teams in the NFL this season as their defense is suffering at the moment. Gardner Minshew is entering his second season and should get more comfortable in a pro offense. Chark will benefit and produce another strong fantasy campaign.

Draft Engine
Despite having missed Week 4, McLaurin would've had a good chance to surpass 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie had a concussion not sidelined him for the season finale. He could benefit from new offensive coordinator Scott Turner's game plans involving more play-action passing than Washington ran under coordinator Kevin O'Connell in 2019.Chark emerged as Jacksonville's top receiver in 2019, catching four passes for 146 yards and a touchdown in the season opener and then being targeted five or more times in all 14 of his other games. There is a bit of uncertainty about his 2020 role with offensive coordinator John DeFilippo having been replaced by Jay Gruden, whose offenses have tended to feature more quick passes.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Scary Terry McLaurin had an incredible debut season with 919 yards and 7 TDs in an awful offense with sub-standard QB play. While Dwayne Haskins is back, you'd have to expect some improvement in his passing while the improved supporting cast should also help F1. Hence weekly floor remains very low, as evidenced by his mid-season run of seven games under 10 fantasy points, but he has week winning upside and is a great Best Ball option. He's a risk/reward WR3 with strong weekly and seasonal upside if the Redskins can finally get their act together in the passing game.D.J. Chark enjoyed an impressive sophomore breakout, despite being slowed by an ankle injury later in the season. There are many reasons for concern though, from the drafting of Laviska Shenault to the signing of Chris Thompson and the general terribleness of this team. The upside is that it appears they'll be chasing plenty of games and don't look inclined to go as run-heavy this year. If Chark can stay healthy and maintain his target share he's going to be big in fantasy, that's a huge 'if' though.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It was remarkable what McLaurin was able to do last year while playing on one of the worst teams in football. The disappointing part was that even though he saw 37.1 percent of his team's air yards (sixth in the NFL), he finished with just 93 targets. Knowing it's unlikely we see a big increase in pass attempts, it's hard for him to see an air yards number that is much higher. The reason we can be semi-optimistic with his targets is due to the lack of options around him. Kelvin Harmon and Paul Richardson are gone, along with the 86 targets they saw last year. In comes rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden, and veteran Dontrelle Inman, who was recently signed off the street. If we look at offensive coordinator Scott Turner's offense last year, you'll see it was very top-heavy when it came to the wide receivers, as D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel both hit 106-plus targets. I can't say there's anyone else on this Washington receiver depth chart that deserves more than 75 targets. This could be very similar to A.J. Brown, where we're looking at a player who might get a 25 percent target share in his offense, even if it is a low volume one. The difference is that McLaurin's quarterback hasn't ever posted all-time great numbers, and it's unreasonable to expect that. Still, McLaurin can likely live up to low-end WR2 expectations, though getting him as your WR3 is the ideal scenario. There were flashes of what could be an alpha wide receiver in Chark last year, but there were also times where he disappeared. For example, he had six games of 15-plus fantasy points, but he also had eight games with less than nine fantasy points. Is it reasonable for him to grow as a player? Yes. Is there now a bit more competition for targets on the roster? Yes. With the shortened offseason, it will be difficult to learn a new playbook, especially for rookies like second-round pick Laviska Shenault. Because of that, Gardner Minshew will likely be looking Chark's way a lot. With a schedule that starts with the Colts, Titans, Dolphins, Bengals, Texans, and Lions, Chark should have a monster first half of the fantasy season. There are much tougher matchups as the season goes on, however, but drafting Chark as a low-end WR2 with upside in the fifth round makes sense. But again, you may want to look at the possibility of trading him during his bye in Week 7.

Potential to explode this season but QB play could send him into a sophomore slump. He's the only horse in town so McLaurin drafters should hope Steven Sims steps up.Chark looks to take the third year leap, but his near 1 TD per game output will come back to earth. His fate is tied to Minshew's.

Packer Report
In only 14 games last season, McLaurin racked up 919 receiving yards and seven TDs while playing with some truly terrible QB play. If Dwayne Haskins can progress in year two as the starter then we could see McLaurin as a top-24 WR. That being said, Haskins had some real struggles last year so that's something you have to consider. At a certain point, no matter how good a WR is, he needs a talented QB to get him the football.D.J. Chark was one of the biggest surprises of the 2019 season. He built a strong connection with Gardner Minshew and it showed on the field with Chark totaling 73 receptions, 1,008 yards, and eight TDs. Minshew's progression will be key for Chark making him a bit of a boom or bust type player.

FantasyPros
McLaurin was the lone bright spot in the Washington offense with 58 receptions for 919 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. He should take a jump in his second year, especially if second-year QB Dwayne Haskins can also take a jump in his second year.Chark's ability in the deep passing game allowed him to tally 1028 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns in 2019. He is a WR2 with some volatility playing on one of the worst rosters in the NFL.

McLaurin was a revelation last season for people who drafted him in the last round or scooped him up off of waiver wires in week one. While he does have more competition for targets in 2020, he's the main option in this passing attack and is a guarantee to see over 120 targets. He's a value right now at his current ADP and would be a fantastic addition to your fantasy roster as a WR2/WR3.Chark and Gardner Minshew have shown that they have great chemistry together. Chark has a little bit more competition for targets this season than last year, but he's still going to be a productive fantasy football option. He's in the range of a WR2 this season for me with upside.

Terry McLaurin's 13.7 PPR FPG last year tied for 10th-most all-time with JuJu Smith-Schuster for any rookie WR drafted in the second round or later of the NFL draft. @GrahamBarfieldWeeks 1-14 last season, he was the WR8 overall. He suffered an ankle in Week 14, missed a game, and was hampered the rest of the season. He still finished as the WR17 for the season. @SWallace_FF

If you had to guess, who would you say was second on the team in targets? Chris Thompson with 58. He will not be without competition in 2020 but I don't think that has to be a bad thing. Terry saw 6.6 targets with Haskins for 34/500/2 in 8 games. A lot of change in 2020. Scott Turner is the new OC, was co-oc in Carolina where Carolina ranked second in attempts last year. Do bad teams tend to pass more? Probably, the Dolphins and Bengals were 6th and 7th. Will the Redskins be bad? I dunno. Lots of questions.Had his most heavily targeted game with Foles, but Minshew was very capable of supporting him. A little under 7 targets a game with Minshew in year 1. That paces for 110 targets. TDs(8) are likely to regress if those targets remain. He remains the clear top target after FA and the draft. His drop grade per PFF is just below Michael Thomas, at number 7. He is what Will Fuller would be if Fuller could stay healthy and had hands, with all the target volume you could want.
