Became a true game-breaker in '18, with a hefty 10.5% of his 237 carries going for 14+ yards - has room to make greater strides in the passing game after catching 43 passes44 TD in 59 career games, 3rd-most among WRs in NFL history thru 59 games - quicks, route-running, hands, YAC ability should be match made in heaven with QB Mayfield's accuracy, anticipation
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Mixon is a late round second pick going late first. He has a bad offensive line again, he had three games over 100 rushing yards despite having the 8th most carries of all RBs. He had three games with 5 or more receptions, and 8 weeks of 27 or less receiving yards. He is being overdrafted. If OBJ stays healthy we may be talking about him being the first receiver off the board next season. I don't think we need to talk about how good OBJ is, we have seen the numbers he can put up with Eli Manning, this connection could be and likely will be game changing.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
An inefficient runner on a team with a bad offensive line. The Bengals best O-Lineman last season, Clint Boling, retired and then the Bengals recognized their needs and drafted Jonah Williams. Unfortunately, Williams tore his labrum. The Bengals also drafted Trayveon Williams and Rodney Anderson and still have Gio Bernard. His volume will make him a back-end RB1/high-end RB2, but he is just being drafted too high.OBJ was 13th last season in True Target Value with Eli Manning throwing him the ball. If those targets came from Baker Mayfield instead, OBJ would have been the 9th WR. Now factor in that Mayfield was 12th in True Throw Value in his ROOKIE SEASON and OBJ becomes a top-3 WR option with potential for for a WR1 finish.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
If you said a couple of years ago that Beckham Jr. would move from the Giants to the Browns and be seeing a massive upgrade in both offense and quarterback play, you would have sounded ridiculous. There's no way to fully understand how the Browns offense will unfold, given the new offensive coordinator and the fact that they probably won't need to throw quite as much with an improved overall defense. But none of that really matters. Beckham has basically averaged a 1500-yard, 12-touchdown pace since he entered into the league, and should now have an elite quarterback throwing him the ball. There are plenty of mouths to feed in Cleveland and Beckham has battled injuries in his career, but don't kid yourself. He's going to have a monster year.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
You have to love watching Marvin Lewis walk out the door if you're Mixon, as he was severely underused as a receiver in Lewis' offense. In comes Zac Taylor, who said he's going to start the Bengals playbook with the Rams offense, which is where he came from as a quarterbacks coach for Sean McVay. Them drafting two running backs is somewhat concerning, but that could be to protect them in case of a Mixon injury, which has happened a few times in his short careerYou have to love the landing spot for Beckham, as he's now tied to a franchise quarterback who's deadly accurate. The issue is that the Browns are a franchise that has tons of talent on the defensive side of the ball, which may limit the amount of pass attempts to go around. Still, you don't trade for Beckham and not use him. He may not belong in the elite tier in year one with the Browns, but it shouldn't shock anyone if he finishes there. He is an outlier
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Were it not for the Bengals' best offensive lineman retiring and their first round rookie going on injured reserve, Mixon would be in consideration for a first round pick but with those big blows, his stock drops him down to a fringe RB1/RB2. He is extremely talented without question and may even be able to handle a huge workload but it won't matter if the offense can't support a running back. You can argue that there is not a more talented receiver, or even football player in the league. Now that Beckham is in Cleveland with the next great quarterback, his situation is much better than he's ever seen before. With those two in mind, he has as good of a chance as anyone to finish as the WR1 but with soft tissue injuries in his past, he comes with the most risk of any elite receiver too.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Mixon had 1,464 yards from scrimmage and 9 touchdowns in 2018. He should thrive in Zac Taylor's scheme that is very running back friendly .Beckahm Jr. is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and playing with QB Baker Mayfield is going to really help his fantasy production in 2019.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Everything was looking up for Joe Mixon's fantasy stock in 2019 until the Bengals lost LT Jonah Williams for the season. Now, Mixon will be reliant upon rookie Head Coach Zac Taylor to scheme open running lanes and involvement in the passing game. Mixon's one of the true workhorse backs in the NFL and he should still contribute in a big way this season, even if his ceiling is slightly less with Williams going down for the year. The general public has seemingly forgotten about OBJ and his talents and abilities when he's on the field. Injuries marred his season last year, but he's the best wideout in the game when he plays. Now, he heads to a situation with an ascending QB talent in Baker Mayfield who can take full advantage of OBJ's quickness and route-running ability. Baker's going to latch onto Odell early and the sky's the limit for him in 2019.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Mixon enters his third season as a pro at the age of 23. He posted a 93rd percentile height adjusted speed score, a 77th percentile SPARQ-x score, a 90th percentile college YPC and an 81st percentile college target market share. Mixon is an elite athlete, and he finally looks poised to take over bell cow duties in this backfield. He should improve upon his 237/1168/9 stat line from last season, as there's no legitimate competition behind him, and he projects to be amongst the league leaders in opportunity share. The Bengals ran the third fewest plays per game last season, and their offense should improve from just 23 points per game last season. A full 16 weeks from Mixon will make him a first round pick in 2020.People are a little too scared of Odell this season. His target market share is likely going to decrease...but he's also going to a different market. Odell moves from a bad offense, with a bad QB, to an elite offense, with an already elite QB. Also, is there really that much competition for targets? Sure Landry will get his, but Njoku's never been a target hog, and they are likely to use Chubb on most downs ahead of Duke (assuming Duke is still even on the team come week 1). Behind them all you have is Antonio Calloway, Rashard Higgins and Damion Ratley. People can't honestly expect those guys to take that many targets away from Odell! Is he a first round pick? Probably not. But he's a great second round pick, and I wouldn't be shocked at all if he were to finish in the top 3.
