FantasyPros
Clyde Edwards-Helaire is going to be very hard to stop in this Chiefs offense. He should become the starter immediately over Damien Williams and has RB1 potential in 2020.Fournette is the unquestioned lead back for a NFL team, which is always going to equate to fantasy impact. With that being said, he has a limited ceiling and it's hard to see a path where Fournette finishes as a top-15 RB this season.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
The Kansas City Chiefs have averaged the following over the last 3 seasons: 282 rush attempts, 99 RB receptions, 4.43 rush yards per attempt, 7.4 RB yards per reception, 11.6 rushing touchdowns, 8.3 RB receiving tds Let's say, CEH only gets 60% of workload, going only on averages, he would finish with: 169 rush attempts, 60 receptions, 7 rush td, 5 rec td, 750 rush yards, 440 receiving yards He would finish with 251 PPR points. This would have had him ranked 9th last season ahead of Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley, Joe Mixon, Mark Ingram, and others. @BlakeAHamptonLeonard Fournette only scored three rushing touchdowns in 2019, but they accounted for every rushing score for the Jaguars. Those three rushing touchdowns were the lowest from a team since the 2005 Cardinals. Only 13 other teams in NFL history finished with that low of a total. (@LateRoundQB) I don't completely expect Fournette to stay as healthy as he did last year, but we should see some TD regression in 2020. In 2019 he set career highs in: games played: 15, rush yards: 1152, rushing 1st downs: 52, yards per att: 4.3, targets: 100, receptions: 76, receiving yards: 522, total touches: 341, total yards: 1674... for 6-10 team (@DFFMemphis)

The Athletic
Overvalued in early ADP (No. 14 RB) given likelihood that he'll be on the slight low side of a platoon, but he can be Ekeler-like as a high FAN PTS per Touch type76 receptions in 2019 was one of the more surreal fantasy lines, but RB C. Thompson likely to end his receiving roll - still, Big Len due for positive TD regression
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
I absolutely love Clyde Edwards-Helaire as a talent. He was sensational for LSU last year and just quietly, amazing for my college fantasy team. Sadly, this is highly unlikely to be a Saquon Barkley situation where he just walks into a starting role. Damien Williams is very much still around and he's been excellent for the Chiefs when healthy. I expect a full committee to start the season and I don't think anybody really knows how long that will last. CEH has the talent but Andy Reid has shown some interest in running with multiple RBs plus Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson will likely be involved a little in the early part of the season too as CEH isn't quite ready for the blocking role he'll eventually need to play as part of the workhorse role. If you can get to the playoffs with CEH I love your chances, but getting there with his insane price tag and likely slow start will likely prove difficult. I'll be trying to trade for him after a few weeks and take the discount, I suggest doing the same.If Leonard Fournette remains the Jags workhorse RB he could be one of the bargains of the season. Often available in the third round, he offers league-winning upside in an attack with plenty of points in it. The risk is clearly high with the possibility the Jags go full rebuild and give Ryquell Armstead a proper crack or get forced to chase games. The upside is massive too though. Fournette finish RB9 with 1600+ yards but only 3 TDs in 2019. That's stupidly low and makes no sense given he had 57 red zone touches which is very high. Somehow, he only converted 5% of those looks, well down on his previous efforts of 25%. Regression to his TD average and a repeat of last season's yardage would mean 290 points and a top 5 finish. Take the gamble!
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
107 RB targets spread out to the Chiefs RB position last year. Due to injury, and coaching decisions, no RB played more than 35% of the snaps. If CEH can consolidate the targets and take charge on the backfield(like they seemingly drafted him to do), he might just be awesome. If you thought he might've been a product of the LSU offense, feel free to rely on that excuse in KC as well, should work just fine.No matter what you think of Fournette, touching the ball 341 times, and only getting 3TDs is not sustainable, in a good way. I don't have a problem thinking Chris Thompson or Laviska take away a significant amount of targets, I just need the TDs to normalize to get ROI.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I had Edwards-Helaire as my top running back in this year's class due to the way he fits the NFL today. He's a true three-down back who can catch 80-plus passes out of the backfield, while running for 1,000-plus yards. Landing with the Chiefs was a dream scenario, especially in the first round. Over the last seven years, running backs who've been drafted in the first round have averaged 280.7 touches in year one. 75 percent of them have finished as an RB2 or better. Don't think this is Darwin Thompson all over again, as he was a sixth-round pick last year, and those average just 29.8 touches in year one. This is Edwards-Helaire's backfield after Andy Reid said he's better than Brian Westbrook on film. You don't take those players off the field very often. He's worth a second-round pick and would be a steal in the third round. After trying to trade him prior to the NFL Draft, Fournette appears destined to play for the Jaguars once again in 2020. With Jay Gruden calling the offense, they should be much more efficient this year, though Fournette's volume made him a great play throughout 2019. The only running backs who offered RB2 or better numbers more often than Fournette in 2019 were Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott, Dalvin Cook, and Austin Ekeler. Do they go with more of a timeshare under Gruden? it's possible, but he should still offer low-end RB1 value.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Edwards-Helaire should be the lead running back on one of the best offenses in the NFL, but Andy Reid is not afraid to use a RBBC, which makes Edwards-Helaire a RB2 with upside.Fournette was strong when it comes to yards from scrimmage (1,674), but he had only 3 touchdowns. Fournette was actively shopped during the NFL Draft. The Jaguars are not going to have much patience with him not performing well this year, which makes him a risky fantasy player.
