Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
What Evans has done throughout his career is no small feat. In his seven seasons in the NFL, Evans has never finished with less than 1,000 receiving yards in any given year. With that being said, he's a roller coaster to have on your fantasy football roster. Last season, Evans had numerous games where he only had one to three receptions, but he was able to come down with a touchdown on several occasions to save his fantasy output. Evans brings some massive upside based on his size, skillset, and talent. However, fantasy managers need consistency from their WRs if they're being drafted at a premium price. There's a possibility that we see Evans move up into the top-12 WRs in ADP by the time draft season rolls around. He'll provide you with some of those week-winning performances, but that's too steep of a price for me to get on board with that unpredictability. My Very Early Projection: 70-973-9 receiving. There's a lot of hype right now surrounding Kenny Golladay and it's easy to understand why that's the case. He's an incredibly talented receiver and he just signed a massive contract with the New York Giants in free agency. However, once you sit down and really assess the situation around him, it's difficult to get too excited. Golladay now joins an absolutely crowded offense with a lot of mouths to feed, which instantly puts a cap on his projected ceiling. With Saquon Barkley, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, and Devontae Booker all in the mix for targets, Golladay is going to have to be ultra efficient with his opportunity to make an impact for fantasy football. In my opinion, Golladay is more of a low-end WR2 than anything else. You're buying into Daniel Jones taking a massive step forward if you trust Golladay as anything more than that. My Very Early Projection: 64-1087-7
Mark Ringo
Sleepers and Busts
There are a lot of mouth to feed in Tampa, but also a lot of TDs available from one of the best offenses in the league. Evans should catch a bunch of them. He's a big, physical target in the red zone. Double digit TDs are a good thing in fantasy. Yes please!Another talented player in a bad situation. The Giants offensive line isn't very good. The book is still out on Daniel Jones. And some of the defensive lines they play in the NFC East keep me up at night, especially Washington's. I just can't see Golladay lighting it up when Chase Young is mauling Daniel Jones on every play. Get me some WRs on high scoring teams instead. Avoid
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There may be no fantasy wide receiver who's continually undervalued more than Mike Evans. He's now turned in at least 1,000 yards in seven straight seasons with a handful of different quarterbacks, and has scored at least eight touchdowns in five of them. The reason he can't be considered in the elite tier is due to the number of mouths to feed in the Bucs offense. Think about it this way: Despite Chris Godwin being hurt for a while and Antonio Brown not joining the team until mid-season, Evans finished with just 109 targets. He's one of the better WR2's to have in fantasy, but he doesn't come with top-five upside unless there are injuries to those around him.Going to a new team is never easy, especially for someone who's coming from a team that was lacking any depth of pass catchers. It was easy for him to get eight-plus targets per game, especially when Marvin Jones was hurt. Now going to the Giants, who have a bevy of options, including Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, Darius Slayton, Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, and Saquon Barkley. To be fair, you don't go out in free agency and sign someone like Golladay to give him five targets per game, but he's not going to get the consistent targets he got in Detroit, and the targets he does get aren't going to be as efficient.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Mike Evans had only 70 receptions for 1,006 yards, but he dominated the red zone with 13 touchdowns. Evans is a WR2 that could be a WR1 if he duplicates his TD production again in 2021.Golladay had an injury plagued year and he now joins a Giants team that is trying to develop Daniel Jones. Golladay is a low-upside WR2 to high-end WR3 playing with an inconsistent quarterback.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Giants landing spot = mixed bag. Daniel Jones is a clear downgrade from Matt Stafford, but the path to Alpha WR1 volume is clear, especially in Jason Garrett's offense that has thrived with a monster X (Owens, Dez, Miles Austin)
