Diggs may be targeted more by Cousins as the superior talentCooks can still cook after recording his third straight season with 100+ targets, 1,000+ receiving yards and seven plus touchdowns; catch rate is key area he needs to improve after downgrading from Brees and Brady to Goff
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
The WR1 through Week 4, Diggs stumbled upon returning from a groin injury suffered the following game. He then found pay dirt in each of the final three contests before catching 14 of 22 targets for 207 yards and an unforgettable TD in a pair of postseason bouts. Last year's leader in WR rating (145.2) and contested-catch rate (64 %), Diggs possesses an uncapped ceiling for those willing to take an early risk.A top-12 fantasy wideout in each of the last three years, Cooks's stock has dipped after his second trade in as many years. It turns out Jared Goff isn't quite as good as Drew Brees and Tom Brady. His receptions, targets, and TDs have also declined in each of the past two seasons, and that trend could continue in an offense that also must feed Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp while revolving around Todd Gurley. Although he'll lose some weekly reliability, those expecting a complete bust akin to Sammy Watkins are underestimating his talent.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Diggs has had struggles staying on the field, but when he is healthy, we are talking about a top 12 wide receiver. Everyone is all over Thielen, and for good reason, but it was Diggs who was the stronger fantasy player in points per game last season. Don't hesitate to add him ahead of more reliable names like Fitzgerald and Demaryius on draft day.Cooks had 1,000 yards and was a top-12 fantasy receiver with both Brady and Brees despite splitting targets with a ton of other useful pieces. While he may not be a WR1 anymore with Jared Goff throwing the passes, chances are that he won't stumble too far down the final leaderboard.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
I've moved Diggs ahead of Adam Thielen as Minnesota's WR1. Much better shot at exceeding 8-plus TDs. Steadily seems to out-produce his ADP despite having less than spectacular numbers across the board. Should still be the No. 1 target for high octane Rams.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Has all the tools to be special, with the exception of durability. Working with his best QB yet (Cousins), sustained health could easily carry Diggs into WR1 territory
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
The addition of Kirk Cousins has everyone excited, though the one who should be most excited is Diggs, who might see more targets float his way. After playing with Case Keenum, who was more of a game manager, Diggs should be more of a field stretcher for Cousins, as he can create separation at every level of the field. Meanwhile, Adam Thielen had a boost in production under Pat Shurmur, who is now gone. As of now, Thielen is going earlier than Diggs in drafts, but it really should be the other way around. Take the discount on Diggs and pass on Thielen, you'll be happy you did. While many continue to prop Cooks up as a low-end WR1, I urge you to stay away from that territory when it comes to him. The Sean McVay offense doesn't cater to one wide receiver, and it's unlikely they take targets away from Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp, who were both extremely efficient last season. We saw Sammy Watkins finish with 70 targets in this exact role last year, and that was despite them giving up a second-round pick to acquire him. While I'd expect Cooks to see more than that with a full offseason to work with the offense, it'd be a stretch to see him finish with anything more than 100 targets. There were just three wide receivers who finished top-24 last year with less than 100 targets, so while it's doable, it's not a given.

Antonio Brown 1st 3 yrs: 249 tar, 151 rec, 2062yds, 7TDs Stefon Diggs: 291 tar, 200 rec, 2472yds, 15TDs Few WRs profile to take an AB path, Diggs is one of those WRs @ClutchFantasy There are very few WRs in the league who have the intricacies of the game down like Stefon Diggs. He's one of the most savvy route runners in the game. Short range quickness, football IQ (so underrated), footwork, angles, ball skills. @DanielHouseNFL He is a solid WR1 unless he is on the injury report, if he is questionable at any point during the week you can leave him on your bench. He seems to be on the injury report 4-5 weeks every season. Stefon Diggs ranked No. 1 vs man coverage in @MattHarmon_BYB's Reception Perception & No. 1 in @pff's Contested-Catch Efficiency. Diggs now entering his contract year at age 24. @EvanSilva Over the last two years, Stefon Diggs has spent 21 games off #Vikings injury report & 6 games on the report/limited by injury. When Diggs is off the injury report, he's averaged 17.0 PPR FPG (WR5 in this span). That trails only AB (21.3), OBJ (18.5), Allen (17.1), Julio (17.1). @GrahamBarfield It's not that Cooks is a bad talent - he's not. It's that McVay doesn't care to support 1 elite WR. He prefers to balance it out across all 3. @DynastyGuruFF
Staff Rankings
QB List
The 24-year-old Diggs comes into 2018 as one of the better pure athletes in the NFL, even if he doesn't have a nickname involving the word "lightning". Diggs has always shown game-breaking speed, good route running, and great hands, using these attributes to have arguably his best pro season last year posting almost 850 yard and eight touchdowns for the Vikings. As Kirk Cousins enters 2018 as the new Vikings franchise QB, how the targets will shake out for the Minnesota offense remains to be seen. If Diggs were to somehow gain a true WR1 target share, he could potentially be a top five wide receiver; however, as long as he and Thielen continue to both get fed, the most likely scenario in this case, those big dog games of his will be few and far between, leaving him to compete instead for a spot within the top 15. Oh how the hype has died, er, has decreased a bit. Swapped from the Saints to the Patriots in exchange for essentially a 1st rounder, Cooks looked poised to enter one of the league's most efficient pass offenses and produce frighteningly high-level numbers as Tom Brady's #1 receiver. Unfortunately, he only posted…#7 WR overall numbers? Yea Cooks is great, and produced with what he was given in NE despite the disappointment of those who expected the next coming of Randy Moss. Following a crushing defeat in Super Bowl LII, the Patriots pulled a Houdini, shipping Cooks with one less year of affordability to the Rams for nearly the same 1st round pick. Craziness. While Cooks travels west to enter perhaps an even more dynamic offense with the Rams, he also enters a WR room still full of high-end talent with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. Much improved QB play from Jared Goff and the offensive genius of Sean McVay should allow Cooks to thrive when he gets the rock, but with already two mouths to feed in Kupp and Woods, and the beast that is Todd Gurley around, the chances of getting top 10 production from Cooks are slim.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Diggs feels pretty undervalued when compared to Thielen. He might be one of the best route-runners in the NFL and could rise up a bit this yearCooks has stud potential but the Rams failed to properly utilize Sammy last year, which has to be a mild concern
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Diggs was a very good touchdown threat at the end of the season and he has WR1 value playing with QB Kirk Cousins.Cooks averaged 9.6 fantasy points per game and he could be even better next year, as long as the Rams give him enough targets in the passing game.
