Lineups
It's hard for me to grasp that more people aren't talking about D.J. Moore's phenomenal sophomore season. He had 87 catches for 1,175 yards and 4 touchdowns despite catching passes from a hobbled Cam Newton, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier. Now, Moore will benefit greatly from the introduction of Teddy Bridgewater as the new starting quarterback. The team's defense has also gotten worse since last year and will be starting several rookies, so game script should favor the passing game. Matt Rhule and Joe Brady will help scheme Moore open in creative ways and he's almost certainly due for positive touchdown regression. He's one of my favorite players for fantasy football this season, especially when you can draft him in the third or even fourth round. The Colts' wide receiver burned some people last season as he missed six games and struggled to produce with Jacoby Brissett when he was on the field. However, it wasn't that long ago that Hilton caught 76 balls for 1,270 yards and 6 touchdowns in his last season with Andrew Luck. Hilton would have been a top-12 receiver last season if he had produced the same stat line as in 2018. The Colts' offense should look very different in 2020 and Hilton will be the primary beneficiary of the chemistry Rivers and head coach Frank Reich have previously developed.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
The departure of Devin Funchess prior to last season made Moore the undisputed No. 1 wideout in Carolina, and he emerged as the No. 2 target in the passing game behind running back Christian McCaffrey. Because of Moore's speed and versatility, the Panthers' new coaching regime will likely continue to use him on a wide variety of route concepts. After a feast-or-famine 2017 during which Hilton had three games with more than 150 receiving yards and eight with 30 or fewer, he rebounded with a productive season in '18 with Andrew Luck back under center. The expectation is that his production will bounce back from last season's underwhelming output now that Philip Rivers has arrived as the Colts' new quarterback.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It really stinks that we may not get to see Moore play with a top-tier quarterback during his early years. He's an extremely good football player who's been stuck in a bad situation. He made the most of bad targets last year, finishing as the WR18 and delivering WR2 or better performances 60.0 percent of the time, which ranked eighth among wide receivers. Now another obstacle to cross. He'll have a new quarterback and a new head coach in 2020. The coach (Matt Rhule) also decided they needed to bring in Robby Anderson, a receiver who previously played under him, which could mean the targets get spread out a bit. The good news is that Bridgewater attempted a deep ball on just 7.1 percent of his pass attempts, which was the second-lowest rate in the NFL, and not an area where Moore operates. The talent is there for Moore to make a jump into WR1 status, but the situation doesn't seem ideal with virtually no offseason. He's best suited as a WR2 on fantasy teams, as top-24 should be his absolute floor. As a soon-to-be 31-year-old coming off an injury-plagued season and playing with a new quarterback, it's not a good look to show up to camp with a non-football hamstring injury. There will be no preseason game action for him to build any chemistry with his new quarterback, so training camp was important. Hilton has never been a touchdown guy, as his career high is capped out at seven touchdowns. So, he's reliant upon targets more than someone like D.K. Metcalf, who can score 10 touchdowns. Not only do we have to worry about Hilton's health and age, but we also have to worry about his quarterback's. Philip Rivers was not good last year and hasn't traditionally thrown to guys like Hilton who are undersized and play on the perimeter. With so many variables and lack of true upside, I'm okay fading Hilton, especially at his current cost. If you're able to land him as a backend WR3, I'm okay with the risk/reward, as there aren't too many safe options in that range.

Moore brokeout last season, and should continue his ascendence into the top ten.Offense runs through him, health is the only risk. Stable WR3 with WR1 weekly potential

Former 1st round pick, D.J. Moore had a breakout season in 2019 and that was with Kyle Allen throwing him the ball. Now he has Teddy Bridgewater who looked terrific in New Orleans last year at QB. Moore could be the NFL's next star WR, the only concern I have is how long it will take for him and Bridgewater to build a connection due to COVID.Hilton, along with the entire Colts offense, will be one of the most interesting storylines to watch as the season progresses. With Philip Rivers now at QB, Hilton could have his best season since Andrew Luck's prime. That being said, Rivers is another year older and if he doesn't have the arm to get Hilton the ball, it could be problematic. I like Hilton's upside but his floor is frighteningly low.

With Andrew Luck as his quarterback, Hilton has averaged nearly 80 yards per game and topped 100 yards receiving 34% of the time. Without Luck, Hilton has averaged just over 58 yards per game, and topped 100 yards receiving just 14% of the time. Philip Rivers is an upgrade over Jacoby Brissett, so Hilton's numbers should look closer to the ones he put up with Luck, rather than those without him. But given Rivers' decline last season, it's still better to think of Hilton as only a borderline WR2 at best.

Hilton was 34th in PPG last season and his TTV (Brotofantasy.com) was 36th, so he did what was expected and slightly more. Rivers is a QB upgrade, Hilton should probably see a few more targets, and he's received praise from the coaching staff. Hilton isn't washed yet.

Moore had 1,215 yards from scrimmage, but only 4 touchdowns in 2020. Teddy Bridgewater is the quarterback in Carolina this year, Moore should easily be their most targeted wide receiver.Hilton's age 30 season was not kind to him, he missed QB Andrew Lucks' arm and he had only 501 yards from scrimmage and 5 touchdowns in 10 games in 2019. If he can stay healthy, he has some upside playing with QB Philip Rivers, but he is a boom / bust WR3 given his health concerns.

Moore's essentially a lock for seeing over 130 targets again in 2020. While he might not put up high TD totals in this offense, he's going to be a PPR machine this season. As long as Moore can stay healthy, he'll return value on his current ADP.Hilton's an incredibly risky pick at his ADP right now. He needs to stay healthy this season to return that value and he now has Michael Pittman to take away targets. Rivers could lock onto Pittman, which is the type of receiver he's been known to target heavily in the past, which would leave a smaller target percentage for Hilton. He has the talent, but a lot has to go Hilton's way this season for him to be a true force for fantasy football. In my opinion, Hilton's nothing more than a low-end WR3.

DJ Moore averaged 16.4 PPG (seventh-most among WRs) in 14 healthy games last year. As a 22-year-old with Kyle Allen at QB. One of the best prospects in recent memory with a historic start to his career. Panthers won't throw as much, but they should still be high-volume. @JackMiller02

D.J. Moore had a very impressive sophomore season, proving he's the clear Panthers WR1. He should get even better in year 3 as he's still very young and the Panthers look like they'll be regularly chasing the game. In most circumstances you'd suggest a 1000 yard receiver should expect far more than 6 TDs in his first two seasons combined, but Moore is rarely a green zone target (only three targets inside the 10 last year) so he may just be a guy who doesn't score often. The addition of Robby Anderson is also reason for concern so I'd suggest using some caution, especially in non-PPR leagues. The upside is very high if everything kicks though. After a super 2018 season where he returned to top form, T.Y. Hilton had an awful 2019. The retirement of Andrew Luck was followed by a number of frustrating injuries which made consistent production impossible. Now 30 and carrying a number of soft-tissue injuries into the season, it's hard to see Hilton remaining fit and explosive again. He's also joined by impressive youngsters Parris Campbell and Michael Pittman while the team is clearly becoming more run-heavy. The good news is that Philip Rivers is a big QB upgrade and Hilton has a huge ceiling, especially in non-PPR. He's a boom/bust 5th-round pick who could be worth a pick-up if you have the top-end strength to cover for his many bad weeks and injuries.

New QB Bridgewater won't accentuate Moore's verticals skills, but he should be heavily targeted, allowing him to put his ample Yards After Catch skills to work

Back to back years with under performance in the TDs. Despite that, he's still finished as a flex worthy, or better option, in .5ppr.A WR room with everything you could want. Hilton going deep, Campbell the YAC machine, and the big, reliable Pittman. While Hilton should lead the trio, he was also be battling his own ability to stay on the field. Maybe it's assuming too much, but IND just came off a season with the 3rd fewest passing yards in the league, with 3108. Phil has thrown fewer than 4000 only 3 times in his 14 years as a starter, he was over 4000 3 times with fewer attempts than what IND attempted last year because IND efficiency as so bad. We don't have to see the team transform into a passing team to see better production from all the WRs. I'm grabbing Campbell late everywhere I can.

Love the Joe Brady hire as OC. LSU's WRs dominated under his tutelage and usage, and Moore can expect more creative playcalling than ever before. But will Robby A's addition be more a positive (clearing space) or negative (target competition)?
