Alex Mack dealing with ankle injury heading into Super Bowl

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Jan 24th 3:27pm EST

Atlanta Falcons center Alex Mack (ankle) is "unlikely to practice" this week as he is dealing with a "swollen, painful sprained ankle" according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Mack is dealing with a sprained ankle suffered in last Sunday's NFC Championship win over Green Bay. He'll likely be held out of practice this week as a precaution and test next week in Houston. Barring a setback, Mack will play in the Super Bowl. As a center, he flys under the radar when it comes to key free agent acquisitions. However, he's been a tremendous asset in protecting Matt Ryan and anchoring Atlanta's offensive line, which allows the rest of the unit to flourish.
