Jordy Nelson close to a deal with Raiders

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Oakland Raiders and former Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson are close to reaching an agreement for him to join the Raiders. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It appears Nelson is poised to join the Raiders, which could spell the end for Michael Crabtree in Oakland. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Raiders will move on from Crabtree if the Raiders finalize a deal with Nelson. While Nelson has shown that he has some gas left in the tank, he has clearly lost a step -- he will be 33 in May. Plus, throughout his career, he's struggled when anyone not named Aaron Rodgers was throwing him the football. Although this may appear like an attractive move from a fantasy football perspective, I'm not fully buying in, especially since Derek Carr is coming off of a horrendous year despite a questionable appearance in the Pro Bowl. This whole scenario scares me. I'm treading lightly. For Crabtree, it wouldn't surprise me if he's courted by the 49ers, Cowboys or Ravens.
