According to Jordan Schultz, the Chargers and star WR Mike Williams are motivated to get a long-term extension done. If nothing gets done, the wide expectation is for Williams to get tagged - at $18.5M for the 2022 season. (Jordan Schultz)

Fantasy Impact:

Williams will be the second WR this offseason to continue to play on the franchise tag if no deal is reached by the 4 PM deadline on Tuesday. Buccaneers Chris Godwin is the other one. If the team does decide to tag the veteran wideout, it'll cost them $18.5 million this season. During the 2021-2022 season, Williams had 76 catches for 1,146 yards and scored 9 touchdowns in 16 games.
