Tyrod Taylor to receive contract extension before Week 1?

by Anthony Cervino | Jets Correspondent | Thu, Jul 28th 4:11pm EDT

Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News believes that the Buffalo Bills and QB Tyrod Taylor could come to terms on a contract extension before Week 1. Carucci added that the two sides are "talking relatively frequently and have maintained open lines of communication." (The Buffalo News)

Fantasy Impact:

Tyrod Taylor is entering his sixth year in the NFL and will be the starting quarterback of the Buffalo Bills for the second consecutive season. Taylor had his best statistical season as a pro in 2015. In 14 contests, he passed for 3,035 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions but failed to reach the 300-yard passing game mark. Taylor also added 568 yards and four scores on the ground which shows his versatility. In the upcoming fantasy football campaign, Taylor should be viewed as a mid-range QB2 with moderate upside. The Bills employ a ground and pound offensive philosophy and Taylor's numbers will likely take a hit because of their old school system.
