Rob Gronkowski’s price and matchup will push some FanDuel players to look for cheaper alternatives
Let’s take a look at the highest projected ownership levels on FanDuel for each position in Week 10.

Quarterback
Cam Newton (CAR): $7,800 vs. KC (12.0% Own%)
Newton has had a couple of rough weeks with only one touchdown in in his past two games, but he is a great bargain at this salary this week. He should be able to bounce back at home against the Chiefs, who are only middle of the pack against the pass this season.
Running Back
David Johnson (ARI): $9,400 vs. SF (54.8% Own%)
Johnson is pricey this week at $9,400, but I think it is justifiable given his talent and the matchup against the 49ers. The 49ers have been absolutely embarrassed by opposing team’s’ running backs this season, allowing 5.5 yards per carry. Not that it matters too much since he is involved in the passing game, but the Cardinals are currently 13.5 point favorites in Vegas, which means Johnson should see a heavy dosage of carries late in this game.
Wide Receiver
Antonio Brown (PIT): $8,600 vs. DAL (32.8% Own%)
Brown needed garbage time to reach value last week, but he did so nonetheless. Brown and Roethlisberger should be more in sync together this week since Big Ben is another week removed from being out with an injury. The Cowboys have been pretty stout against the run this season, so I could really see Big Ben forcing the ball to Brown this week which provides Brown with a safe floor, yet still tremendous upside.
Tight End
Rob Gronkowski (NE): $8,000 vs. SEA (15.5% Own%)
Gronkowski has been dominant over the past few weeks with over 100 yards receiving in three out of his last four games and a touchdown in each of his last three games. The matchup is tough against the Seahawks this week.
However, he is an elite tight end and is still capable of putting up a huge game in the most difficult matchups. With that being said, I’m looking for a cheaper option for my lineups this week so that I can fit some of these other high priced players listed in this article and who are in better matchups.
Kicker
Chandler Catanzaro (ARI): $4,500 vs. SF (15.1% Own%)
The Cardinals’ offense has not been nearly as explosive this season as it was last season. Therefore, Catanzaro has not put up the numbers that he did one year ago.
Also, he has struggled this season already missing more field goals this year than he did all of last year. I believe there are better options for you to choose from for your lineups this week at a similar price point, such as Nick Novak and Mason Crosby.
D/ST
Arizona Cardinals D/ST (ARI): $5,200 vs. SF (31.2% Own%)
Just like with David Johnson, the Cardinals’ defense is pricey, but they are totally worth it against the 49ers at home.
The Cardinals have one of the better defenses in the league and the 49ers really are not that good of a football team this season. The Cardinals should have no problems shutting down the 49ers, racking up some sacks and possibly even scoring a defensive touchdown.
