Jakobi Meyers

Jakobi Meyers has had two minimally-productive weeks thus far in 2022. Week 2 looked promising before a knee injury ended his day short. All the same, he still caught nine of 13 targets for 95 yards. New England has a tough matchup against Baltimore for Week 3, and fantasy managers need to know if he is an option for them. Here’s what we know so far.

Jakobi Meyers was limited in practice and questionable for Week 3

Jakobi Meyers (knee) was limited in practice on Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Ravens.

Fantasy Impact

This was an improvement for Meyers after he did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Although his absences were concerning, it was promising to see him get on the field in some capacity Friday. After totaling 13 targets, nine catches, and 95 yards last Sunday, Meyers ranks as a solid WR3 option against a susceptible Ravens secondary in Week 3.

What the Experts are Saying

Meyers is the most disrespected high-volume receiver in the NFL. He has the quietest 29.7% (12th-highest) target share ever. While running 62% of his routes from the slot, he’s averaged 9.5 targets, 6.5 receptions, and 75 receiving yards. He’s 16th in weighted opportunity and 18th in yards per route run (minimum ten targets). The matchup is up in the air for Meyers as Damarion Williams or Marlon Humphrey could cover the slot this week. Williams has been torched, allowing a 66.7% catch rate, 122.2 passer rating, and two receiving scores. Humphrey has only seen four slot targets allowing two to be secured with a 64.6 passer rating. Meyers has entered the WR3 conversation.
