Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report

I won’t hit on every prospect every week, but will focus on the most relevant prospects throughout the week and will follow up with other notable players. This article will not focus on any AAAA-type players or veterans in the Minors who have outlived their prospect status.

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched at the Major League level. All stats up-to-date as of Sunday, April 6th.

Full Top 150 Prospect Rankings:

MLB Hitters

1. Jasson Dominguez (OF – NYY)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .314/.376/.504 | 8.8 BB%, 20 K% | 20 XBH, 11 HR, 16 SB (58 games)
  • 2024 MLB: .179/.313/.304 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB (56 ABs)
  • This Week: .274/.364/.483 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted 2023)
  • fScores: 97 fContact, 107 fDiscipline, 123 fPower, 191 fSpeed
  • Comp: Switch-hitting Mookie Betts-lite
  • Prime Skills: Jasson Dominguez has top-notch plate skills, while also demonstrating he can be a game-changer on the base paths. He smashes pitches high in the zone from both sides of the plate, but needs to work on lifting pitches low in the zone instead of bashing them into the ground (56.7% career groundball rate).
  • Player Notes: Dominguez has had a rough time in the field, but three doubles on the week and a bomb show he’s on track to provide a strong rookie season for fantasy players.

3. Kristian Campbell (2B, OF – BOS)

  • 2024 A+/AA/AAA: .330/.439/.558 | 14.3 BB% / 19.9 K% | 55 XBH, 20 HR, 24 SB
  • This Week: 11/26 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Opening Day
  • fScores: 103 fContact, 126 fDiscipline, 103 fPower, 138 fSpeed
  • Comp: Bigger Gleyber Torres with more speed and better plate skills
  • Prime Skills: Kristian Campbell is a big righty picked who was in the fourth round out of Georgia Tech in 2024 with a killer hit tool (90.8% Z-Contact% at AAA) to pair with a 20/20 profile. He has a big frame with a pretty sweet swing and has shown more power than the scouting grades have given him, especially from the pull side. Has not shown off his 60-grade speed on the base paths yet, but there are more bags under him if the situation allows.
  • Player Notes: Campbell is off to a killer start and has already been financially rewarded as the Red Sox purchased his arbitration years — one more example as to why spring training stats don’t matter.

14. Matt Shaw (2B, 3B – CHC)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .284/.379/.488 | 11.9 BB%, 18.2 K% | 44 XBH, 21 HR, 31 SB
  • This Week: 8/41 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Opening Day
  • fScores: 95 fContact, 86 fDiscipline, 96 fPower, 168 fSpeed
  • Comp: Jonathan India with more speed
  • Prime Skills: Matt Shaw has a solid plate approach that should develop as he gets time in the bigs with above-average power and speed. For 2025 fantasy, think of Colt Keith production plus 25 steals or so. He could be one of the better second basemen in the Majors sooner rather than later (if he gets to play there rather than at third base) and has the power and speed combo to put up some 20/20 seasons. Shaw works to some good launch angles (14.4 average launch angle) that should help the bat play up.
  • Player Notes: Shaw has not been nearly as impressive as Campbell or Dominguez to start the season, but looks to put up some Colt Keith-like numbers with better speed.

69. Jacob Wilson (SS – ATH)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .433/.473/.668 | 6.2 BB%, 6.6 K% | 35 XBH, 7 HR, 2 SB (53 games)
  • 2024 MLB: .250/.314/.315 | 7.8 BB%, 9.7 K% | 4 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB (28 games)
  • This Week: 12/33 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Opening Day (Debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 106 fContact, 114 fDiscipline, 60 fPower, 77 fSpeed
  • Comp: More athletic Luis Arraez
  • Prime Skills: Jacob Wilson was a first-rounder last year and got the bump to AAA after decimating AA pitchers. He was a doubles machine in the Minors. It almost looks like he’s been at batting practice since the draft because he’s been generating so many hits. I thought the pick was a reach when the Athletics drafted him, but he’s moving quickly and is hitting at every level.
  • Player Notes: The power surge from Wilson this spring has carried forward into the season, so we might have a 20-homer bat on our hands as Wilson has yet to strike out on the season.

73. Cam Smith (3B – HOU)

  • 2024 College: .387/.488/.654 | 39 XBH, 16 HR, 4 SB
  • A/A+/AA: .313/.396/.609 | 11.2 BB% / 17.9 K%| 16 XBH, 7 HR, 2 SB
  • This Week: 2/18 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Opening Day
  • fScores: 96 fContact, 89 fDiscipline, 102 fPower, 81 fSpeed
  • Comp: Josh Jung with shades of Manny Machado
  • Prime Skills: Cam Smith began his Minor League career on a complete tear, outpacing his college profile. He’s very stoic at the plate, very calm with a great eye and quick hands to get to any pitch and crush it. He hits to all fields and if the Astros can teach him to pull more into the Crawford boxes, there’s quite a bit more of a power upside here.
  • Player Notes: There’s a chance Smith is sent down at some point if he continues not to produce at the MLB level. The Astros got a little Angels on us, and it is not paying off yet, but we are still looking at small sample sizes.

88. Thomas Saggese (2B, SS, 3B – STL)

  • 2024 AAA: .253/.313/.438 | 5.9 BB%, 23.1 K% | 46 XBH, 20 HR, 9 SB
  • 2024 MLB: .204/.250/.306 | 3.8 BB%, 26.9 K% | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • This Week: N/A
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 100 fContact, 74 fDiscipline, 80 fPower, 86 fSpeed
  • Comp: Righty Matt Carpenter with more speed
  • Prime Skills: Thomae Saggese has a good hit tool and very solid plate skills (which he showed off better in the Fall League than the iffy AAA season with 16 walks and only 15 strikeouts in the Fall League). He has underrated power and speed for a guy who plays multiple infield positions. He’s kind of a jack of all trades.
  • Player Notes: Saggese was recalled before Sunday’s doubleheader, going a combined 2-for-4 across both games. He’s the only player on the Cardinals’ roster who should play shortstop besides Masyn Winn, who has needed a break, but has looked better the last couple of days.

102. Zach Dezenzo (1B, 3B – HOU)

  • 2024 CPX/AA/AAA: .299/.385/.492 | 11.5 BB%, 22.6 K% | 24 XBH, 7 HR, 5 SB (52 games)
  • 2024 MLB: .242/.277/.371 | 4.6 BB%, 33.8 K% | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • This Week: 1/7 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 25
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 96 fContact, 92 fDiscipline, 98 fPower, 103 fSpeed
  • Comp: A bigger, more athletic Chas McCormick
  • Prime Skills: Zach Dezenzo is a power/speed guy who has to work on his hit tool (75% Z-Contact% in his debut), but can take a walk and will excel against fastballs with above average exit velocities. Needs to work on reducing the strikeout rate.
  • Player Notes: I thought Dezenzo would be starting full-time and Smith would have begun in AA or so, but we can see he’s not getting enough run to let the bat play with only seven at-bats on the year.

MLB Pitchers

11. Jackson Jobe (SP – DET)

  • 2024 AA: 91 2/3 IP | 13.6 K-BB% 12.3 SwStr%, 30.5 CSW% | 2.36 ERA, 1.12 WHIP
  • 2024 MLB: 4 IP | 6.3 K-BB%, 4.2 SwStr%, 25 CSW% | 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
  • This Week: 9 IP (2 starts) | 8 Ks, 8 BBs | 5.00 ERA, 1.55 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 100 fStuff, 99 fControl, 110 fERA
  • Comp: George Kirby
  • Prime Skills: Jackson Jobe has excellent command of his pitches for someone his age and has a ton of spin on his pitches. The fastball is riding as an above-average pitch, but it allows him to use his elite slider to get strikeouts. The walk rate is higher this year, but I think it’s an aberration and wouldn’t be too concerned. There seems to be a bit of a pitch mix issue in why his killer stuff has not played as well as it should.
  • Player Notes: As per my fears, Jobe has yet to figure out the pitch mix, and the control is as bad as last year to start the season. However, his second start was much better than the first.

34. Kumar Rocker (SP – TEX)

  • 2024 CPX/AA/AAA: 36 2/3 IP | 36 K-BB%, 22 SwStr%, 36.9 CSW% | 1.96 ERA, 0.79 WHIP
  • 2024 MLB: 11 2/3 IP | 14.5 K-BB%, 13.3 SwStr%, 28 CSW% | 3.86 ERA, 1.54 WHIP
  • This Week: 8 IP (2 starts) | 4 Ks, 2 BBs | 7.88 ERA, 1.88 WHIP
  • Age: 25
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 114 fStuff, 104 fControl, 154 fERA
  • Comp: Hunter Greene with a better slider (12/6)/worse fastball
  • Prime Skills: Kumar Rocker is a large pitcher with a dominant fastball/slider combo. He throws 97-99 with one of the best hard vertical sliders you will see. There’s a below-average change-up in there, too, that he has to throw to mix things up. I have Rocker ranked as a top-60 starter for 2025, which is aggressive and will depend on the workload, but the fScores love him and he was amazing in his small 2024 sample size.
  • Player Notes: Rocker got rocked in his first start, and the second start was lackluster from a strikeout perspective, but had a much better outcome. He also needs some work on fine-tuning the pitch mix in the Majors.

42. Chase Dollander (SP – COL)

  • 2024 A+/AA: 118 IP | 24.4 K-BB%, 16.6 SwStr%, 29 CSW% | 2.59 ERA, 1.19 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 6 Ks, 1 BBs | 7.20 ERA, 1.60 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 104 fStuff, 93 fControl, 125 fERA
  • Comp: Zach Wheeler light in Coors
  • Prime Skills: Chase Dollander has a big-time fastball with a slider and curve. The fastball sits in the high 90s, while the curve has been a deadly tunnel pitch with guys swinging right over the top of it. He was one of the top swinging strike generators who reached the upper Minors in 2024, but we saw a decent downtick in strikeouts as he jumped to AA. He needs to throw more strikes early in the count and often doesn’t get an equal number of called strikes to the swinging strikes.
  • Player Notes: Dollander had an impressive debut for the Rockies on Sunday, getting the call earlier than I expected after not breaking camp.

72. Caden Dana (SP – LAA)

  • 2024 AA: 135 2/3 IP | 20.1 K-BB%, 12.6 SwStr%, 27.7 CSW% | 2.52 ERA, 0.94 WHIP
  • 2024 MLB: 10 1/3 IP | 1.9 K-BB%, 11.2 SwStr%, 26.2 CSW% | 9.58 ERA, 2.03 WHIP
  • This Week: 3 IP | 2 Ks, 1 BBs | 6.00 ERA, 1.67 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: May/June 2025 (debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 98 fStuff, 103 fControl, 125 fERA
  • Comp: Young Noah Syndergaard
  • Prime Skills: Caden Dana looks like vintage Syndergaard on the mound with his hair, 94-95 miles per hour (MPH) fastball and power slider. The curve is only average, but he has a pretty nifty two-seamer to pair against the four-seamer with some nice ride.
  • Player Notes: Dana was recalled earlier than I expected as well and had a short stint, but was not terrible. Keep an eye on this to see if he stays up or is sent back down.

99. Thomas Harrington (SP – PIT)

  • 2024 A+/AA/AAA: 92 1/3 IP | 29 K-BB%, 17.7 SwStr%, 31.8 CSW% | 1.95 ERA, 0.82 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 IP | 2 Ks, 4 BBs | 13.50 ERA, 2.75 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Called Up on April 1st, 2025
  • fScores: 93 fStuff, 112 fControl, 105 fERA
  • Comp: Nick Martinez
  • Prime Skills: Thomas Harrington is a command-oriented pitcher whose nastiest pitch is the change-up against his 92-93 MPH fastball. He has an interesting 3/4 arm action with a quick whip and the breaking pitches kind of pop out quick from the hand, playing up against the below-average fastball velocity… which, by the way, is very flat and plays up against the velocity.
  • Player Notes: Harrington was uncharacteristically shaky, command-wise, which may have been nerves in his first start. I expect him to get a few more opportunities before the Pirates side-step to Bubba Chandler.

135. AJ Smith-Shawver (SP – ATL)

  • 2024 AAA: 89 IP | 18.3 K-BB%, 14.2 SwStr%, 29.5 CSW% | 5.85 ERA, 1.24 WHIP
  • 2024 MLB: 4 1/3 IP | 11.1 K-BB%, 10.3 SwStr%, 24.1 CSW% | 4.62 SIERA, 1.15 WHIP
  • This Week: 8 2/3 IP (2 starts) | 10 Ks, 6 BBs | 5.19 ERA, 2.19 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Early 2025 (debuted in 2023)
  • fScores: 97 fStuff, 91 fControl, 100 fERA
  • Comp: Giovanny Gallegos as a starter
  • Prime Skills: AJ Smith-Shawver has a super over-the-top arm slot that he repeats well, making it difficult to pick up on what pitch is coming out of his hand. He throws heat (hits 99 MPH), and the arm slot makes it come on even faster. His curve is his best pitch, and he might be better working in a slider to counter the curve and change-up since he’s so vertical.
  • Player Notes: Despite showing some really good stuff (14.5 SwStr%) so far, he’s gotten hit pretty hard in both games with some bad batting average on balls in play (BABIP) luck. I would buy him if you can.

AAA Hitters

2. Roman Anthony (OF – BOS)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .291/.396/.498 | 14.6 BB%, 23.5 K% | 54 XBH, 18 HR, 21 SB
  • This Week: 4/20 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 98 fContact, 129 fDiscipline, 97 fPower, 117 fSpeed
  • Comp: Jarred Kelenic with a better eye
  • Prime Skills: Roman Anthony has good vision with a strong power tool for a young kid who still needs to fill out. He could be a five-tool player, but he needs to be more consistent on the base paths for steals to be a big part of his game long term. The max and 90th percentile exit velocities rate out a little better than Dominguez (112.5 and 108.4, respectively), but he is not nearly as aggressive in the zone and might have a little bit of a Lars Nootbaar streak to him.
  • Player Notes: Anthony continued where he left off, power-wise, after the strong spring.

7. Samuel Basallo (C, 1B – BAL)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .278/.341/.449 | 8.6 BB%, 21.1 K% | 44 XBH, 19 HR, 10 SB
  • This Week: 5/20 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: 93 fContact, 80 fDiscipline, 100 fPower, 84 fSpeed
  • Comp: Kyle Schwarber with a better hit tool
  • Prime Skills: Solid plate discipline and great power and young for his level, Samuel Basallo has seen some regression on the batted ball data, as he has not been lifting the ball in the air enough to reach his power potential. He’s been dinged in the plate skills category, seeing a decent increase in swinging strike and strikeout rate, while also seeing an even larger decrease in walk rate. The dude is built for his age with fast hands, but a tight/weird batting stance. He will likely move off the catcher position full-time because of Adley Rutschman.
  • Player Notes: Basallo hit a monster homer and has continued to show improved power this season.

16. Nick Kurtz (1B – ATH)

  • 2024 College: .306/.531/.763 | 34 XBH, 22 HR, 4 SB
  • 2024 A/AA: .368/.520/.763 | 24 BB%, 20 K% | 7 XBH, 4 HR, 1 SB
  • This Week: 9/23 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB (+1 on Sunday – not included here)
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Early 2025
  • fScores: 106 fContact, 129 fDiscipline, 115 fPower, 86 fSpeed
  • Comp: Joey Votto-esque profile
  • Prime Skills: Nick Kurtz has big-time plate skills with above-average power and a very solid hit tool. Think Kyle Manzardo with more power and a higher ceiling on the hit tool. He was a beast in his limited debut and returned in the Arizona Fall League from a hamstring injury.
  • Player Notes: Kurtz has been the best hitter in the Minors to start the season. He should be up sooner rather than later if the Athletics want to compete this season.

20. Jordan Lawlar (SS – ARI)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .318/.417/.485 | 9 XBH, 2 HR, 6 SB (23 games)
  • Age: 22
  • This Week: 8/29 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 100 fContact, 104 fDiscipline, 93 fPower, 168 fSpeed
  • Comp: Trea Turner-lite with some Derek Jeter
  • Prime Skills: Jordan Lawlar has a nice power swing, but it may impact his contact ability in the Majors. He has all fields power and ridiculous speed; he’s a very aggressive base runner and puts himself in good positions to make things happen on top of having way-above-average plate discipline for his age.
  • Player Notes: Lawlar has been showing some nice speed, but Tim Tawa got the call over him after the Ketel Marte injury as he continues to play multiple positions in the Minors.

35. Marcelo Mayer (SS – BOS)

  • 2024 AA: .307/.370/.480 | 9 BB%, 19.7 K% | 36 XBH, 8 HR, 13 SB (77 games)
  • This Week: 8/30 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores: 99 fContact, 86 fDiscipline, 86 fPower, 116 fSpeed
  • Comp: Lefty Dansby Swanson with more doubles power/less home run power
  • Prime Skills: Marcelo Mayer has fast hands and good vision, leading to an advanced batting average profile, but how much power will he hit for in his prime? He’s had some bad injury luck that’s impacted his stat line two seasons in a row now.
  • Player Notes: Mayer has been showing some nice power to start the season. Let’s see if it carries along with the health in 2025.

59. Kyle Teel (C – CWS)

  • 2024 AA: .288/.386/.433 | 13.5 BB%, 23 K% | 36 XBH, 13 HR, 12 SB
  • This Week: 8/30 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 97 fContact, 124 fDiscipline, 69 fPower, 96 fSpeed
  • Comp: Shades of Buster Posey with less power
  • Prime Skills: Kyle Teel is an athletic catcher with an above-average hit tool. He gets some comps to J.T. Realmuto, but I think he is more of a high-average hitter who will get on base than the primarily power/speed threat of Realmuto. He gets to decent enough exit velocities to raise his power profile as he ages.
  • Player Notes: Teel is off to a nice start, as is Edgar Quero. It will be interesting to see what the White Sox do with both of these catchers. It should be noted that Teel has played four games at designated hitter to start the season and four at catcher.

120. Brady House (3B – WSH)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .241/.297/.402 | 5.7 BB%, 26.4 K% | 41 XBH, 19 HR, 6 SB
  • This Week: 9/26 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 92 fContact, 48 fDiscipline, 79 fPower, 82 fSpeed
  • Comp: Alec Bohm with worse plate skills
  • Prime Skills: Brady House has a big frame with room to grow at 6-foot-4. He has completely moved off shortstop to third base this season. He has shown a ton of improvement in the plate skills and has a ton of power potential that has yet to play out. He is pretty good at going the other way. He reminds me a ton of Austin Riley coming up, where everyone liked him, then nobody liked him and then everyone liked him again.
  • Player Notes: This is a nice start for House after a terrible 2024 season.

140. Jace Jung (2B, 3B – DET)

  • 2024 AAA: .258/.380/.461 | 16.5 BB%, 22.1 K% | 40 XBH, 15 HR, 3 SB
  • 2024 MLB: .241/.362.304 | 18 BB%, 30.9 K% | 5 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
  • This Week: 9/28 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted 2024)
  • fScores: 91 fContact, 128 fDiscipline, 89 fPower, 61 fSpeed
  • Comp: Nolan Gorman meets Josh Jung’s swing with better plate skills and less power
  • Prime Skills: The pull power is legit. Jace Jung’s swing reminds me a ton of Nolan Gorman, and his approach is very similar to his brother Josh. All things look good for success, except that he will have to hit in Detroit.
  • Player Notes: Jace Jung had a strong start after not making the Opening Day roster. He should be up sooner rather than later. It looks like the Tigers are trying to get an extra year of control here.

143. Zac Veen (OF – COL)

  • 2024 CPX/A+/AA/AAA: .258/.346/.459 | 11.1 BB%, 24.8 K% | 23 XBH, 11 HR, 21 SB (65 games)
  • This Week: 12/27 | 6 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Early/Mid 2025 (Editor’s Note: Veen was called up on April 6th, 2025)
  • fScores: 90 fContact, 87 fDiscipline, 87 fPower, 225 fSpeed
  • Comp: Young Charlie Blackmon with a worse hit tool
  • Prime Skills: Zac Veen has a nice Joe Dirt look going for him, but he’s an aggressive in-the-zone hitter with a ton of speed. He has the body to grow into more power in the future, but right now he’s projecting more as a high average (due to aggressiveness), speed guy. Veen only has a four-degree average launch angle, which is bad and explains the over 50% groundball rates.
  • Player Notes: Veen had a strong spring and is deserving of a call-up to start over Nick Martini.

Notable AAA Hitters Outside the Top 150

Caleb Durbin (2B, SS, 3B – MIL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 8/30 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Caleb Durbin had a hot start to the season, which has us asking how much longer until he is called up and starts at third base for the Brewers.

Chase Meidroth (SS, 3B – CWS)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 5/21 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: Chase Meidroth has shown a nice power and speed combo to begin the year, but the hit tool still needs some work.

T.J. Rumfield (1B – NYY)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 10/33 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: If T.J. Rumfield’s power so far this season is for real, he could be a name to watch as he’s always had a solid hit tool.

Otto Kemp (3B – PHI)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 9/31 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Otto Kemp has the makings of a nice bench, backup piece for the Phillies post Edmundo Sosa.

Max Acosta (SS – MIA)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 11/34 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
  • Notes: The Marlins are big Max Acosta fans and had him hitting third in the Spring Breakout game; he’s a good hitter with a fledgling Bryson Stott-like profile.

Jakob Marsee (OF – MIA)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4/23 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 8 SB
  • Notes: It was another rough start for Jakob Marsee at the plate this year, but eight steals in one week is noteworthy.

Jonatan Clase (OF – TOR)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 9/19 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 5 SB
  • Notes: Jonatan Clase could have made the big club out of spring training, but he’s shown a better hit tool thus far in the season.

Tim Tawa (2B – ARI)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 9/23 | 6 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: Tim Tawa is not a big prospect, but he has one of those underrated profiles of a guy that could have a surprisingly strong career.

AAA Pitchers

40. Zebby Matthews (SP – MIN)

  • 2024 A+/AA/AAA: 97 IP | 28.6 K-BB%, 14.2 SwStr%, 29.9 CSW% | 2.60 ERA, 0.87 WHIP
  • 2024 MLB: 37 2/3 IP | 18.1 K-BB%, 11.3 SwStr%, 26.2 CSW% | 6.69 ERA, 1.65 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 4 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.20 WHIP
  • Age: 25
  • ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)
  • fScores: 103 fStuff, 122 fControl, 112 fERA
  • Comp: Zach Eflin outcome with a better fastball
  • Prime Skills: Zebby Matthews is a big righty out of Western Carolina at 6-foot-five and 225 pounds. His curveball is his best weapon, though he has a decent heater that plays better up in the zone. The control is his best attribute as the dude has only walked 18 hitters on the entire season.
  • Player Notes: Matthews is off to a good start as he and David Festa are showing they deserve to be Major League starters now.

55. Jacob Misiorowski (SP – MIL)

  • 2024 AA: 97 1/3 IP | 16.1 K-BB%, 14.1 SwStr%, 30.7 CSW% | 3.33 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  • This Week: 8 2/3 IP (2 starts) | 11 Ks, 7 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.92 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • Comp: Young Tyler Glasnow with worse control
  • ETA: Early 2025
  • fScores: 108 fStuff, 88 fControl, 135 fERA (as a starter)
  • Prime Skills: Jacob Misiorowski has a killer fastball; he throws it 101 and it’s at an odd arm angle, so it’s difficult to pick up with an elite slider in his pocket as well. He’s had some control issues, especially as a starter, but once he shifted to the pen in AAA, he became a beast.
  • Player Notes: Misiorowski has had a very strong start despite not making strides in the command department. Can the Brewers afford for him to move to the pen with his stuff?

86. Logan Henderson (SP – MIL)

  • 2024 CPX/A+/AA/AAA: 81 1/3 IP | 28.1 K-BB%, 15 SwStr%, 31.6 CSW% | 3.32 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
  • This Week: 9 IP (2 starts) | 16 Ks, 8 BBs | 5.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 105 fStuff, 106 fControl, 110 fERA
  • Comp: Spencer Strider-lite
  • Prime Skills: Logan Henderson is of slight build (5-foot-11) and has jumped up a couple of levels already after destroying at Low-A most. He has excellent command and a nice fastball/change-up combo. The fastball runs 94-96 MPH, and is one of the better change-ups in the Minors.
  • Player Notes: Henderson usually has much better command than a walk per inning, but most of the AAA starters have had a rough go with walks to start the season.

94. Cade Horton (SP – CHC)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: 34 1/3 IP | 18.9 K-BB%, 15.3 SwStr%, 29 CSW% | 4.46 ERA, 1.25 WHIP
  • This Week: 3 1/3 IP | 6 Ks, 4 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Early 2025
  • fScores: 93 fStuff, 96 fControl, 100 fERA
  • Comp: Hunter Brown with control and a third pitch
  • Prime Skills: Cade Horton looks like a righty Jon Lester, throwing 98 MPH darts with a nasty curve. He has shown insane command with three plus pitches between the fastball, slider and curveball, and should be moving pretty quickly next up levels due to his well-above-average command.
  • Player Notes: Horton is healthy with some good stuff, but like most of the other top starters in AAA, he has had a tough time with the strike zone.

109. Emiliano Teodo (SP – TEX)

  • 2024 AA: 86 1/3 IP | 16.8 K-BB%, 16.3 SwStr%, 32.2 CSW% | 1.98 ERA, 1.19 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP
  • Age: 24
  • ETA: 2025
  • fScores: 108 fStuff, 87 fControl, 122 fERA
  • Comp: Jared Jones with worse control
  • Prime Skills: Emiliano Teodo has a slight frame, but a big fastball in the high 90s (can hit 102). Could be an assassin in the pen and might run into a pen to rotation back and forth type trajectory due to the command ala DL Hall or Garrett Crochet. He formerly ran with a fastball/curveball, but now mixes in a low 90s change-up and a killer upper 80s slider. The development of the breaking balls is killer, because guys are waiting to blast that fastball and seem to lock up and freeze on the breaking stuff.
  • Player Notes: I figured Teodo could be in line to close, but if he keeps pitching like this, he’s a starter. Love to see the command play up.

117. Carson Whisenhunt (SP – SF)

  • 2024 AAA: 109 2/3 IP | 17.1 K-BB%, 15.3 SwStr%, 29.5 CSW% | 5.17 ERA, 1.58 WHIP
  • This Week: 10 2/3 IP (2 starts) | 11 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Early 2025
  • fScores: 103 fStuff, 90 fControl, 108 fERA
  • Comp: A plus version of Braxton Garrett or lefty Brandon Pfaadt
  • Prime Skills: Carson Whisenhunt has a super slurvy-like curveball and possibly the best change-up in the Minors, but he’s playing these against a below-average fastball. Whisenhunt missed all of the second half in 2023 and was thrown to the wolves in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) in 2024, so his damage stats shouldn’t be held too much against him.
  • Player Notes: Whisenhunt may have mastered the PCL finally… what a start to his season.

141. Ian Seymour (SP – TB)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: 145 1/3 IP | 21 K-BB%, 15.2 SwStr%, 29 CSW% | 2.35 ERA, 0.95 WHIP
  • This Week: 10 IP | 15 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.90 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
  • Age: 26
  • ETA: Early/Mid 2025
  • fScores: 101 fStuff, 97 fControl, 125 ERA
  • Comp: Nestor Cortes
  • Prime Skills: Ian Seymour has a low 90s fastball with good ride, a four-pitch mix and a nice change-up. Command, lack of high velocity and injuries have held him back to date, but at this point, the Rays should have him on the short list for a call-up. He had reached AAA in 2021 before needing Tommy John surgery. Has performed very well since the surgery, but has yet to reach the Majors.
  • Player Notes: I had questions when I released my rankings about why Seymour was on them, but he just keeps performing. Yes, it’s not the sexiest stuff, but he is a very good pitcher.

Notable AAA Pitchers Outside the Top 150

Mick Abel (SP – PHI)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 11 IP | 11 Ks, 2 BBs | 3.27 ERA, 1.36 WHIP
  • Notes: Mick Abel is only 23, so one can hope this is the year he finally figures it out.

Carlos Rodriguez (SP – MIL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 9 IP (2 starts) | 11 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.00 ERA, 1.22 WHIP
  • Notes: We have seen Carlos Rodriguez in the Majors. I think he’s a viable back-end starter, but not really one for fantasy.

J.T. Ginn (SP  – ATH)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 11 IP (2 starts) | 19 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.64 ERA, 0.64 WHIP
  • Notes: It was a killer week for J.T. Ginn, who is not blocked. He could finally be pushing for a rotation spot to match his draft pedigree.

AJ Blubaugh (SP – HOU)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP
  • Notes: I saw AJ Blubaugh this spring and he got hit up pretty good, but it’s nice to see some of these repeat AAA guys making gains.

Carson Seymour (SP – SF)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 9 IP | 13 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.78 WHIP
  • Notes: Ultimately, Carson Seymour likely ends up in the pen, but this is a solid start for a team with a lot of pitching depth.

Ryan Bergert (SP – SD)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 9 IP | 15 Ks, 1 BBs | 2.00 ERA, 1.11 WHIP
  • Notes: The Padres don’t have a lot of pitching depth, so Ryan Bergert is a guy who could come up and contribute at some point this season.

AA Hitters

9. Sebastian Walcott (SS – TEX)

  • 2024 A+/AA: .265/.344/.452 | 10.3 BB%, 25.6 K% | 54 XBH, 11 HR, 27 SB
  • This Week: 4/12 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: Late 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Fernando Tatis Jr.-lite
  • Prime Skills: Sebastian Walcott is super raw — a huge 18-year-old kid with power for days. He needs to further develop the hit tool and plate skills, but the tools are there. He debuted at High-A as a 17-year-old. We are just now seeing him come into his own as the second half of the season was phenomenal with a .293/.350/.496 triple slash line with 32 extra-base hits (XBH) and 19 stolen bases in his last 58 games.
  • Player Notes: Walcott has had a strong start, picking up where he left off in AA as an 18-year-old last season.

12. Travis Bazzana (2B – CLE)

  • 2024 College: .407/.568/.911 | 48 XBH, 28 HR, 16 SB
  • 2024 A+: .238/.369/.396 | 13.9 BB%, 25.4 K% | 10 XBH, 3 HR, 5 SB (27 games)
  • This Week: 7/13 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Mid 2025 (June / July)
  • fScores: 93 fContact, 122 fDiscipline, 93 fPower, 155 fSpeed
  • Comp: Daniel Murphy with more athleticism and quickness
  • Prime Skills: Travis Bazzana has the killer Oregon State hit tool and has professional experience already with wood bats, playing in Australia as a pro while he was a teenager. He has power and speed, but to what degree both will show up as a pro is the big question, as the game power just appeared in 2024 and is relatively a newer tool. Bazzana has a lot of movement pre-pitch at the plate
  • Player Notes: Nice start for Bazzana through only three games.

28. Jac Caglianone (1B – KC)

  • 2024 College: .419/.544/.875 | 43 XBH, 35 HR, 4 SB
  • 2024 A+: .241/.302/.388 | 5.6 BB%, 20.6 K% | 12 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB (29 games)
  • This Week: 5/13 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 22
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Matt Olson
  • Prime Skills: Jac Caglianone has massive power potential, so much so that he only hit eight doubles in college. He could get some reps pitching, but it’s highly doubtful unless they perhaps try him as a combo relief pitcher/first baseman. Caglianone showed off some nice power in the Arizona Fall League (five bombs with four doubles and 21 RBI), but there are some obvious holes in his swing right he needs to correct. It should be noted that Caglione had superior plate skills to Charlie Condon in college.
  • Player Notes: Caglianone had a killer bomb to start the season this weekend.

46. Cole Carrigg (OF – COL)

  • 2024 CPX/A+: .283/.359/.491 | 9.7 BB%, 18.9 K% | 47 XBH, 17 HR, 53 SB
  • This Week: 5/13 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Switch-hitting Jarren Duran
  • Prime Skills: Cole Carrigg has a ridiculous power/speed skill set with some insane numbers, but he was older for the levels he played at in 2024. There are rumors of some maturity issues with him. Statistically, he rates pretty above average across the board with superior speed, but the Rockies have a lot of these toolsy outfielders and haven’t been able to develop any of them. Carrigg is versatile, though, as a former catcher. He has been clocked throwing 102 MPH.
  • Player Notes: Carrigg had a nice start to realizing my prediction as a future top-15 prospect.

133. Sal Stewart (2B, 3B – CIN)

  • 2024 A+: .279/.391/.454 | 14.8 BB%, 16.9 K% | 32 XBH, 8 HR, 10 SB (80 games)
  • This Week: 4/9 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Athletic Juan Yepez who can put up Josh Naylor-esque numbers
  • Prime Skills: Sal Stewwrt is a big dude who should develop more power, but for now has a fantastic plate approach and hit tool for his age. I got a live look at him and think he’s going to be a great player. Stewart might end up moving off the position because of his size. He has a good hit tool, great plate skills and 20-25 home run power potential.
  • Player Notes: Stewart was showing off some wheels this week in his limited number of games.

Notable AA Hitters Outside the Top 150

Justice Bigbie (OF – DET)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 5/10 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Justice Bigbie had a nice start to the season, but, oddly, a guy who has made it to the Majors and is 26 is still playing at AA.

Kyle Karros (3B – COL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 5/10 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Kyle Karros had a solid season last year, but was lacking in the power department. This week was a good start to turning that around.

Jorge Burgos (OF – CLE)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4/13 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Hard to beat a line where every hit is an extra base hit to start the season.

Kemp Alderman (OF – MIA)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 5/12 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: It’s nice to see a strong start for the former second-rounder with how rough the Marlins have had it with position players.

AA Pitchers

32. Hagen Smith (SP – CWS)

  • 2024 College: 84 IP | 161 Ks, 34 BBs | 2.04 ERA, 0.89 WHIP
  • 2024 A+: 7 2/3 IP | 15.2 K-BB%, 12.7 SwStr%, 28 CSW% | 3.52 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 IP | 10 Ks, 4 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Late 2025 (cup of coffee)
  • fScores: 105 fStuff, 97 fControl, 126 fERA
  • Comp: Yusei Kikuchi with some Chris Sale-esque arm action on the slider
  • Prime Skills: Hagen Smith is a big, strong lefty with a quick 3/4-esque arm action that almost just snaps his fastball and slider straight in there at high 90s velocity. He’s working on a change-up/splitter pitch as well to throw against his primary fastball and slider combo.
  • Player Notes: Most strikeouts in a start so far this season. That’s what we are going to get with Smith.

106. Jarlin Susana (SP – WSH)

  • 2024 A/A+: 103 2/3 IP | 24.5 K-BB%, 17.5 SwStr%, 33.4 CSW% | 4.34 ERA, 1.31 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 1.25 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Paul Skenes-lite
  • Prime Skills: Another 6-foot-6 righty for the Nationals, but Jarlin Susana came to them in the Juan Soto trade from San Diego… the gift trade that keeps on giving. Susana has an insane 100-102 MPH fastball with a 94 MPH change-up and 87-91 MPH power slider that continues to improve.
  • Player Notes: Susana had a nice first start after getting bumped to AA. The Nationals are pushing him this year. You love to see it.

129. Jaden Hamm (SP – DET)

  • 2024 A+: 99 IP | 22.8 K-BB%, 13.7 SwStr%, 29.2 CSW% | 2.64 ERA, 1.05 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 IP | 6 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Early 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Andres Munoz as a starter
  • Prime Skills: Jaden Hamm is a fastball, change-up, curveball guy. The curve is ridiculous — an Adam Wainwright-esque rainbow (which looks strange coming from his smaller frame). He has an insane change-up that simply disappears against righties, while the fastball is a 92-94 MPH average-ish pitch with above average ride.
  • Player Notes: Another standard start for Hamm as he works his way up the Minors. He has mid-rotation upside.

130. Robby Snelling (SP – MIA)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: 115 1/3 IP | 13.8 K-BB%, 12.2 SwStr% | 5.15 ERA, 1.52 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 5 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.40 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Early 2025
  • fScores: 93 fStuff, 96 fControl, fERA 104
  • Comp: Jesus Luzardo-lite
  • Prime Skills: The 3/4 arm-slot helps create a lot of deception between Robby Snelling’s fastball and slider, which also gets classified as a curveball, so we will call it a slurve. He’s a three-pitch guy with an above-average fastball, a good change-up and a stellar breaking pitch with a knack for avoiding hard contact.
  • Player Notes: It’s interesting to see Snelling back at AA to start the season, but it’s nice to see his continued success since joining the Marlins.

Notable AA Pitchers Outside the Top 150

Lucas Braun (SP – ATL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 4.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • Notes: Lucas Braun has continued where he left off last season as an underrated name to watch.

Jackson Ferris (SP – LAD)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 4.15 ERA, 1.85 WHIP
  • Notes: Jackson Ferris got hit around a bit, but he did have a nice K-BB rate.

Tekoah Roby (SP – STL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 IP | 5 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
  • Notes: Tekoah Roby is coming off a nice spring and had a strong first start.

Nolan McLean (SP – NYM)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
  • Notes: Nolan McLean is one of those guys on the periphery of the top prospect rankings. He had a nice spring training as well.

Griff McGarry (SP – PHI)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.00 WHIP
  • Notes: Four perfect innings for Griff McGarry to start the season isn’t too shabby.

2024 Fantasy Baseball Probable Pitchers Two Start Pitchers

A+ Hitters

24. Lazaro Montes (OF – SEA)

  • 2024 A/A+: .288/.397/.484 | 14.4 BB%, 23.6 K% | 44 XBH, 21 HR, 5 SB
  • This Week: 3/7 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Late 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Shades of a lefty Paul Goldschmidt in the outfield
  • Prime Skills: Lazaro Montes is a big, strong player with a great hit tool. He has some insane lefty power and good plate skills. Montes also really improved his body from 2023 to 2024, which likely helped him cut down the strikeout rate, while also shrinking the gap between his batting average on balls in play (BABIP) and his batting average. I can’t wait to get some additional Statcast numbers on him.
  • Player Notes: Was a smooth start in his return to High-A.

30. Josue De Paula (OF – LAD)

  • 2024 A/A+: .268/.404/.405 | 17.5 BB%, 19.8 K% | 30 XBH, 10 HR, 27 SB
  • This Week: 4/11 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: Late 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Lefty Jordan Walker
  • Prime Skills: Josue De Paula is a big kid with a body that power can grow into with a solid hit tool and great plate, but zero speed. The contact skills are very good as well for his age, without many holes in the swing. The power should develop further as he grows into his 6-foot-3 frame.
  • Player Notes: There were rumors De Paula was going to start in AA, but rather he’s back in High-A to continue where he left off.

96. Zyhir Hope (OF – LAD)

  • 2024 CPX/A: .290/.419/.484 | 15.1 BB% / 22.8 K%| 25 XBH, 9 HR, 9 SB (61 games)
  • This Week: 4/9 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: Late 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Lean Josh Naylor
  • Prime Skills: Zyhir Hope is a shorter player with quick hands and a beautiful lefty swing with some major lefty pull power. He has excellent plate skills to go along with the plus hit tool and the plus power he has shown in Single-A ball and the Fall League, where he hit five bombs in 23 games.
  • Player Notes: Hope mashed a monster homer and already has three steals to start the season.

118. Arjun Nimmala (SS – TOR)

  • 2024 CPX/A: .232/.325/.482 | 10 BB%, 30.7 K% | 44 XBH, 17 HR, 9 SB
  • This Week: 4/12 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: 2027
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Righty J.P. Crawford
  • Prime Skills: Arjun Nimmala should stick at shortstop long-term as a solid defensive player with a good all-fields hit tool that currently projects as better gap power than home run power. He’s young with a solid frame and brings a lot more power than you might expect for his age.
  • Player Notes: It was nice to see Nimmala progress to High-A and hit a bomb this early in the season.

119. Ryan Waldschmidt (OF – ARI)

  • 2024 College: .333/.469/.610 | 31 XBH, 14 HR, 25 SB
  • 2024 A: .273/.485/.318 | 22.7 BB%, 13.6 K% | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB
  • This Week: 5/9 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Righty Lars Nootbaar
  • Prime Skills: Ryan Waldschmidt is a big outfielder who can play in center field and has great plate skills with an above-average hit tool to pair with a solid power and speed combo. He hits the crap out of the ball and had some of the highest exit velocities in the 2024 draft.
  • Player Notes: Waldschmidt could be a fast riser; he has a very advanced plate approach.

Notable A+ Hitters Outside the Top 150

James Tibbs (OF – SF)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4/10 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: The Giants’ first-rounder last year is off to a strong start to the season.

A+ Pitchers

19. Chase Burns (SP – CIN)

  • 2024 College: 100 IP | 191 Ks, 30 BBs | 2.70 ERA, 0.92 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores: 113 fStuff, 98 fControl, 101 fERA
  • Comp: Hunter Greene/Dylan Cease mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Chase Burns has an insane fastball/slider combo that could be one of the best in baseball. He’s bigger than some of the other pitchers with this type of fastball/slider combo. He could also just be a better version of Jared Jones.

91. Thomas White (SP – MIA)

  • 2024 A/A+: 96 IP | 20 K-BB%, 14.6 SwStr%, 30.5 CSW% | 2.81 ERA, 1.31 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScore: N/A
  • Comp: Carlos Rodon/Andrew Heaney mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Thomas White is a big 6-foot-5 lefty who I saw live against Quinn Mathews. He throws a 95-97 MPH riding fastball with a killer 85-87 MPH change-up and 78-82 MPH slurve. He needs to work on building up innings in 2025.
  • Player Notes: The control was a little out of whack, but White will be one of my biggest risers in my next rankings update. He could have likely begun the season at AA.

Notable A+ Pitchers Outside the Top 150

Jojo Ingrassia (SP – BOS)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 2.08 ERA, 0.46 WHIP
  • Notes: Jojo Ingrassia was under-the-radar very good last season.

Garrett McMillan (SP – PIT)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.14 WHIP (1 hit)
  • Notes: Garrett McMillan is another pitcher who was super underrated last year and may be in line for a big season.

Mavis Graves (SP – TEX)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 3 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
  • Notes: Mavis Graves is right outside of my top 150 rankings, but is a little old for the level. I’d like to see him at AA.

Manuel Rodriguez (SP – MIL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 11 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.92 WHIP
  • Notes: It was a nice start for Manuel Rodriguez, but I’m not sure if there is much here. Just keep an eye on him for now.

Jurrangelo Cijntje (SP – SEA)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 IP | 6 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
  • Notes: CJurrangelo Cijntje is a fun player as a switch pitcher. The former first-rounder is a ton of fun to watch.

A Hitters

45. Franklin Arias (SS – BOS)

  • 2024 CPX/A: .309/.409/.487 | 13.4 BB%, 17.5 K% | 36 XBH, 9 HR, 35 SB (87 games)
  • This Week: 7/12 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: 2027
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Righty Francisco Lindor-lite
  • Prime Skills: Franklin Arias has good plate skills with above-average power. He also has a really quick bat speed, hands and great overall speed. Arias could be a five-tool guy as long as he can continue to develop the hit tool and hit the ball in the air like he did at the Florida Complex League. The power tracked down at Single-A ball, but he was young for the level late in the season and held his own.
  • Player Notes: Arias had a nice start to the season. He may not be long for this level if this continues.

60. Braden Montgomery (OF – CWS)

  • 2024 College: .322/.454/.611 | 32 XBH, 17 HR, 6 SB
  • This Week: 3/12 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A (need minor league data)
  • Comp: Bigger Jasson Dominguez with less speed
  • Prime Skills: Braden Montgomery is an athletic, switch-hitting power hitter. He has an arm as a former pitcher and a quick, short swing where he gets to the ball no matter where it’s thrown.
  • Player Notes: Montgomery can finally play and show us what he has.

70. Joendry Vargas (SS – LAD)

  • 2024 CPX: .303/.406/.493 | 12.3 BB%, 22.8 K% | 16 XBH, 4 HR, 11 SB
  • This Week: 5/13 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: 2027
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Taller Bobby Witt Jr.-lite mashed up with a Jordan Lawlar-like skillset
  • Prime Skills: Joedry Vargas has a great hit tool that can get to all fields with a nice, quick swing with good reach. The swing reminds me of Witt, hence the comp, but there’s less power as he’s lankier, which gives him more reach to get bat to ball. It will likely result in fewer barrels and overall power.
  • Player Notes: The Dodgers are so loaded.

101. Braylon Payne (OF – MIL)

  • 2024 A: .438/.526/.625 | 15.8 BB%, 15.8 K% | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB (4 games)
  • This Week: 4/12 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
  • Age: 18
  • ETA: 2028
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Lawrence Butler
  • Prime Skills: Braylon Payne is a big-bodied outfielder who is tooled up with a killer power and speed combo from the left side. He’s one of the faster guys picked in the 2024 draft. If he can develop the hit tools and classic Brewers plate skills, the tools can play him up with some of the better Brewers prospects.
  • Player Notes: Payne is an electric factory; he is going to move up boards.

111. Eduardo Quintero (OF – LAD)

  • 2024 CPX/A: .285/.419/.394 | 17.1 BB%, 19.4 K% | 19 XBH, 3 HR, 32 SB (83 games)
  • This Week: 6/11 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: Late 2026
  • fScore: N/A
  • Comp: Shades of Wander Franco as an outfielder with less power and more speed.
  • Prime Skills: Fantastic plate skills and a heck of an athlete. Eduardo Quintero has a killer hit tool with a knack for barreling the ball and brings a ton of athleticism to the plate.
  • Player Notes: Quintero is off to a strong start, but we want to see if he can get to more power this year.

Notable A Hitters Outside the Top 150

Cade McGee (3B – STL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4/11 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: Cade McGee is old for the level and should move up to High-A if this production continues.

Alfredo Duno (C – CIN)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 3/10 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Alfredo Duno is a nice player and a potential future starting catcher for the Reds.

Notable A Pitchers Outside the Top 150

Dasan Hill (SP – MIN)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 0.25 WHIP (1 hit)
  • Notes: Dasan Hill was a third-rounder for the Twins and is pumping 97 MPH from the left side with some killer breakers; check out my X/Twitter for videos.

Griffin Herring (SP – NYY)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
  • Notes: Griffin Herring made his first start out of LSU, and it was a good one. As a sixth-rounder, he may be one of the A ball pop-up pitchers of 2025 we saw last season (ala Quinn Mathews).

Brody Brecht (SP – COL)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 3 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP
  • Notes: I love Brody Brecht. He is just outside of my top 150. He has such good stuff that he could be a killer closer now, but the Rockies already found their closer in Seth Halvorsen, so Brecht will get run as a starter to figure out the command.

Sean Linan (SP – LAD)

  • Season: N/A
  • This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 11 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.56 WHIP
  • Notes: Sean Linan showed good stuff last year for the Dodgers, but had issues of getting hit hard. It looks like he fixed that through his first start.
