Jaime Garcia has solid start against Phillies Saturday night

by Steve Painter | Sun, Apr 23rd 1:01am EDT

Jaime Garcia pitched six solid innings against the Phillies Saturday night, and although he didn't factor into the decision, he did earn a quality start. Over six, he allowed five hits and two runs (both earned) while walking one and striking out six. His efficiency was outstanding, as 54 of his 82 pitches (65.8%) were strikes. As for the game, the Braves lost in 10 innings, 4-3, prolonging their losing streak to five games. Next up for Garcia is Chase Anderson and the Brewers, Friday in Milwaukee.

Fantasy Impact:

This was a good, solid game for Garcia and if you are in a deeper league with 8-10 pitchers on your roster, he might have some value for you. Certainly a candidate for the watch list, you never know when he might come in handy.
