Christian Villanueva (hand) starting on Friday

Christian Villanueva, who was hit in the left hand by a pitch Wednesday, is back in the starting lineup Friday night against the Diamondbacks in Arizona. Villanueva will bat cleanup for the Padres. (Kevin Acee on Twitter)

Villanueva is 10-for-17 (.588) with two doubles and three home runs in his last six games. He'll look to continue his hot streak Friday against right-hander Matt Koch, who will start for the Diamondbacks in place of the injured Taijuan Walker (elbow).
