Joe Musgrove threw seven shutout innings in a win over the St. Louis Cardinals in his season debut on Friday, striking out seven while allowing five hits and no walks.
Fantasy Impact:
Musgrove looked impressive in his debut on Friday and went through the St. Louis lineup with relative ease. He has had some mixed success in the past with the Astros in a swingman role, but it's possible he will turn out to be more consistent with the Pirates if they allow him to remain in the rotation.
