Mallex Smith (arm) is dealing with a muscle issue in his right arm and will not throw or swing a bat for several weeks. (Ryan Divish on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It does not sound like the Mariners expect Smith to miss any regular season games but arm problems can never be taken for granted. Any missed time in spring training will open up opportunity for someone else to get reps in center field, but at this point it is too early to worry about Smith being displaced for real games.
