Jung Ho Kang

Jung Ho Kang strikes out three times Friday

by Elliott Baas | Fri, Apr 12th 11:43pm EDT

Jung Ho Kang went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the Pirates' 6-3 extra innings win over the Nationals on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Kang's early season slide continues, as the Pittsburgh third baseman now has a .108 AVG and .195 OBP in 41 PA on the year. Even worse, he was pinch-hit for in the top of the tenth, and his competition Colin Moran hit a game-winning three-run home run in Kang's place. Kang was a spring training riser, but his poor start and loose grip on playing time means he can probably be let go in standard leagues. He's still a name to watch, but he isn't usable in a 10- or 12-team mixed league right now.
