Sonny Gray falls to 0-4 after loss Sunday

by Elliott Baas | Cardinals Correspondent | Sun, Apr 28th 5:47pm EDT

Sonny Gray allowed two runs on three hits over five innings in the Reds' 5-2 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. He walked two and struck out five while falling to 0-4.

Fantasy Impact:

It would've been nice if Gray lasted one more inning for the quality start, but nonetheless Gray is doing some encouraging things in Cincinnati. He's throwing his slider more than ever, which has resulted in a career high 10.92 K/9. His 3.64 ERA is already a nice improvement over last season, but his 2.05 FIP suggests Gray has been ever better than his surface numbers suggest. His next start comes Friday vs. San Francisco.
