Adam Wainwright did not factor into the decision Friday against the Reds, allowing seven runs on nine hits over 3.1 innings while striking out four.

After dealing in his previous outing against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, Wainwright laid an egg Friday, surrendering a season high in hits and earned runs. He'll take his 4.50 ERA and 93:37 K:BB into his next start, Wednesday in Pittsburgh.
