Kris Bryant absent from Sunday’s lineup, tests negative for COVID-19

Bryant was scratched from Saturday’s lineup due to gastrointestinal issues. He “feels much better today,” said Cubs manager David Ross. “ His tests came back negative and he will be tested again tomorrow. He really needs to be commended for going in and checking out.” Bryant remains out and is currently day-to-day. David Bote will once again replace Bryant in the lineup.
