Nick Pivetta being evaluated as a starter at Boston's alternate site

Recently-acquired Red Sox pitcher Nick Pivetta will work out at the team's alternate site for the time being while the team evaluates how he can best contribute in 2020 and the future, reports MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. Pivetta has worked as both a starter and a reliever in the past, and the initial plan is to evaluate him as a starter. (Mark Feinsand, MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Pivetta has long been a favorite of scouts due to his plus stuff on the mound, but he has never been able to have consistent success at the major league level as a starter or as a reliever. His best season came in 2018 when he started 32 games and pitched to a 4.77 ERA while striking out 188 batters over 164 innings.
